Great Start.
Awesome!! Man that video brought back memories. I played basketball in that gym, had P.E. in that gym and graduated in that gym. So cool that a player like KF came through Arthur. So excited!
I will say there is a lot more black coloring now that they incorporated Atwood. Back when I was there, we were just red and white for all things except football (added gold for Lovington) My buddies and I wanted to somehow add black to our uniforms when I played football but it wasn’t gonna happen. So I LOVE how it looks now.
Also, I see Coach Don McCarthy is still goin! He was my grade school PE teacher, junior high coach (track), high school coach for awhile (football), then left for a bit and was an assistant coach at Villa Grove, then back on at Arthur. Dude never stops!
Ahhhhh Memories.

I think Calvin and Verdis are both gonna have great years and be part of a pretty special defense this fall. Happy for both of them!
Will be interesting....big jump from 1A in Illinois to Big Ten football.
I hope he transitions quickly.

“It really just shows me how they’re improving every year,” Feagin said. “Even in basketball, that can translate to football too. I talked to Coach Underwood today too. He said everything with the programs fits together and the programs are together. Coach Underwood reminds me of Coach B a lot too. I really like him. It seems like their philosophies are kind of the same, so you see what Coach Underwood did, and I think Coach B could do that too.”
