Why are so many games such low scoring games this year? Not exactly scintillating tv.
Seems like we could have made a lot of money betting the under this tournamentWhy are so many games such low scoring games this year? Not exactly scintillating tv.
Also tired. They're just not hustling for rebounds quite like they did against us and AZ. Villanova seems to be getting more of the loose balls.Houston seems a little rattled
I think it was because the defender held possession of the ball at the same time as the offensive player.Moot now, but why was that last Villanova possession ruled jump ball (possession arrow) rather than a travel?
The Price is Wright.I've only caught 80% of this first game, but I don't believe Villanova has set a single high screen. It's mostly (1) Gillespie getting the paint under control and dishing, (2) 1:1 basketball by their elite athletes, and (3) ball movement around the perimeter with lots of movement and back screens, often leading to 3-pointers. Tons of bounce passes too.
Jay Price is a genius. Quite impressive. They don't give away points. You can't play out of control on this team. Plus they play elite defense. How refreshing!

All of us who lived through the later Weber years knows this isn't true.I've only caught 80% of this first game, but I don't believe Villanova has set a single high screen. As always, I once again got chills.Thought I'd just post this since this was 17 years ago.

Yeah when UH 3 is not going it is easier to crowd the lane against them.Houston against Illinois: 42% FG, 27% 3-pt
Houston against Villanova: 30% FG, 5% 3-pt
Great defense by Villanova, but c’mon… woulda been nice if they shot like that against Illinois, haha.
Tore mine 4 years ago playing softball. Went down like a deer shot between the eyes -- just as I was rounding second base.Feel bad for Justin Moore. That Achilles is toast.
I dont see Nova as a National Champion...not betting my beach house against it though...I've only caught 80% of this first game, but I don't believe Villanova has set a single high screen.
