On the bright side, these schools won't see much of a bump in recruiting. Not like they can go much higher. Much better than Iowa or Purdue making a Final Four and then looking more attractive to recruits we are going after.

I suppose, but with the regime change @ UNC and the coming one at Duke, it would have been nice for some uncertainty to creep in... Now Davis can already point to his own Final 4, and Scheyer will be inheriting a ton of momentum.

That will occur if regardless if they don't win with these new coaches. UNC didn't exactly have a banner year. Getting hot in the tournament doesn't change that.

We've seen Penny and Juwan squander and abundance of talent. We've seen Calipari do very little with a lot. If the new coaches at Duke and UNC can't consistently win big, it will start to tarnish their brand.

I still think college sports is forever changed with NIL. It will come down to who can get the most money into players hands. Texas A&M had a monster football class then you hear that they lined up $8 million to a high school QB that has never attended a college practice. The same thing will happen in basketball perhaps worse because there are fewer kids to spread the money to. We already lost Dawson Garcia to a higher offer last year.

I just think college sports will basically now go through free agency every summer and while school reputation really helps, money will be the determining factor in many recruitments. Traditional recruiting will only come into play when the money is pretty similar.

Don't understand the hate. I don't like Kansas, Duke or North Carolina but if you asked me if I would rather watch St. Peters or North Carolina play Duke, that is easy. Give me the best teams with most talent all day long if I am watching the game. And Villanova is just plain good and not hard to root for. Grown men who play the game. They have pretty awesome since 2016.

I think most people root for the underdogs in just about every scenario. Caleb Love and the guy with the beard are fun to watch, but I'll gladly take UNC going home every day of the week.

The season is over for me. My bracket is a total bust and the FF has 4 teams I can't root for. Villanova is the closest but ever since the 1988 Rollie Massimino foul fest I have a hard time rooting for them.

Better frontcourt: Banchero+Williams from Duke -or- Bacott+Manek UNC
On paper its clearly the Dukies. Both are better athletes, and Banchero is so dynamic & seems to be gaining confidence.

Bacot and Manek have a LOT more experience, in a tournament game with all the pressure of the Final 4, that may tilt things in their favor.

They have played twice and the road team won easily in both matchups. Should be a great game from a pure basketball perspective. Though the laundry makes me want to bring up my lunch.
