YES! Chances R, the Holy Grail of Campus Bars. Remember on Fridays 25 cent beers and 15 cent hotdogs. Or was it the other way around. And yes, great bands, And waitresses.
No problem getting into The Brown Jug or the Red Lion, but in '67-'68 you didn't into Chances R unless you were 21, or had a really good fake ID.

From our roof we easily could hit Bromley. We had a spring war with Triangle, the two houses to split damages 50/50. We shot from our roof, the engineers from their front terrace. We had ancient, small, single-pane windows versus large, newer, double-pane windows. We gladly paid our share to renovate their frat.
We appreciated it.

Just wondering if anyone beside me, after watching Sincere Harris' highlight tape, thinks could be a Trent Frazier Clone? Super quick lefty who has handle and can shoot. All he needs is the stamina and defense.
The name I immediately thought of when I watched him on TV this past winter was Kendall Gill.

At least physically and just athletically overall how he looked to me judging by my old man eyeballs.

Good size (6'3"-6'5"), long and wiry, great slasher and driver to the rim, excellent finisher off the rim, good (not great...not yet anyways) shooter from deep, and just an overall helluva competitor.

Think he'll be a very good 2G for us down the road. Very excited he's coming here!

It appears that Nolan Smith of Duke is leaving for a position at Louisville. It is my understanding that he was Duke's top recruiter. That could change the landscape going forward for some of the top recruits he landed at Duke and those yet to make decisions elsewhere.

harder to recruit to a school that will likely be on probation.

I saw Pork and the Havana Ducks several times back in the day. I am not a country music fan but the "Pork Live!" album I bought in 1983 is still one of my all time favs and it always gets rave reviews when I introduce it to someone for the first time. RIP Pork.
I always wondered -- any relationship between the band and the central Illinois town that won the Class A state championship in 1978?
