Khalil Whitney, declared for the draft after a disappointing freshman season, now in the G League.
Actually three, but I forgot his name. He ended up at Michigan . This was during the Gross years

After Anthony Davis and Tyler Ulis, been a downhill trend for Illinois HS players' experiences at Kentucky: Charles Matthews, Khalil Whitney, now Bryce Hopkins. Don't wish ill for the players but I can't say I'm terribly upset.
You hear that, J.J. Taylor. :cautious:

Do we have anything new and/or encouraging about Clark? I really want this guy. I wouldn't flinch a bit about starting a freshman at the point, esp. if he's this good and has some swagger. I'll always remember when Derek Harper started at the 1 on day one. He was fearless and aggressive the moment he stepped on the court.
Loved me some Derek Harper!!

yes. he could very well be an all big ten player next year. anyone who says he isn't going to be good next year is crazy. kid just needed confidence which he got at the end of the year and look at what happened
He was borderline good towards the end of the season. I think he will be good next year. The question is how good? My hope is he becomes somebody the opponent has to keep an eye on inside or out (or both.)

If he thinks Skyy isn't a day 1 starter then Epps for sure isn't.
Well ideally they’d go out and get a point from the portal. Neither guy is a program changing talent but to me Skyy’s ACL seems to have really affected him defensively where he was already pretty mediocre to begin with. I don’t think he can guard starting guards very well at all.
