Podz was a top 100 recruit. I wondered how they compared. Don’t understand your problem.

I liked Podz, and I wish that he'd stayed, but I'm tired of seeing these posts claiming he was a top 100 recruit. Although he was close, he wasn't top 100. Not on ESPN, or Rivals, or 247, or RSCI.

No problem man. Just pointing out that a guy who played 30+ minutes a game and has shot 38% from 3 for his career is pretty obviously far better than a guy who couldn’t crack the rotation

EDIT: also, “is he better than podz” isn’t really the bar we should be questioning because why on earth would our staff have interest in anyone worse than Podz

1) Curbelo may or may not be coming back - no one really knows so don't read the thread expecting to find an answer

Believe he was born in Alabama? Played HS/AAU in TX. Committed to Houston out of HS before his Dad got the job at Detroit Mercy.

With TSJ, what is his status exactly?

Is he no longer interested in Illinois? Or waiting for something? Or interested but still shopping around? Or staff didn't want to pull trigger? Or the staff is waiting for something? Or just general recruiting is fluid?

Has that opportunity passed? Or are the chances roughly the same as a few weeks ago?

I get that insiders can't share details, but it sounds like that scent has suddenly gone cold with not much clarity for us. But I suppose maybe that's just the situation.
