I prefer Kofi comes back but it's because I feel it's what's best for him and his family. I know he is Uber confident but it's not the same situation as Ayo's. I want what's best for Kofi. Illinois basketball will be fine either way. We will be better with Kofi but that's not why I hope he stays.
Somebody please remind me, Jones was originally a 2021 (Goode/RJ class), but actually graduated early and enrolled at DePaul in December 2020, correct?

I have decided that while BU can count, I can't. We have had numerous posts about an experienced guard (Ramey etc.) and a forward (TSJ/Hopkins).
The way I see the scholarship grid, we are one over in players if Kofi, Gandison and Hutcherson come back.
If Kofi leaves, 0440 said there should be a transfer big to take his place. That would still leave us at 14. Where do the scholarships come for the experienced guard and forward. If both Hutch and Grandy move on, one would fit, but not 2.
Or am I missing something?

If we land David Jones, we will be a really good team next year regardless of it Kofi leaves. So let’s hope we are REALLY REALLY GOOD

His shooting improved and he is athletic. I hope his shooting continues too if he is to become Illini because 29 percent isn't elite, we need shooters

The general consensus is that Grandison and Hutch aren't coming back and that Lieb is still TBD.
If Kofi stays we will find it pretty easy to fill any open spot...
