Maybe split it into a "recruiting news thread" and a "recruiting speculation with gifs and sarcasm thread?". The first would see 5 posts a day and the latter exponentially more.
Or just leave it be and when actual recruiting news occurs, we will all naturally snap back to the more normal behavior of obsessing over high school students' college choices.

Has there ever been a player of Kofi's size and strength that can shoot 40%+ from the arc and 88% from the FF linve? Can't think of any right away. If there are any srs. in HS or the portal that fit the bill...I want all of them. IF they have handles and a 30 in vertical, you can likely pencil them in the starting lineup...maybe.

My eye for talent is unique.

Are we even looking at a veteran ball handler still? I recall several names initially but many have committed. I'm sure the staff is always looking but any names?

If you have someone Kofi's size who can shoot they would be a #1 overall recruit and draft pick. That's like prime Demarcus Cousins before his injury, Jokic, or Embiid.

He didn’t get the chance to shoot although he did hit a few mid range jumpers throughout his career.
Kofi doesn’t rebound the ball well imo and doesn’t alter/block enough shots for his size. Those 2 things alone should be enough for his size to make an impact at the NBA level. His vertical just isn’t there.

I believe this is implied in every Loyalty thread.... Honestly, it's implied in every message board on the internet.

Dirk is about as close as you could get.

Yesterday, I learned people are surprisingly defensive about the academic standing of Butler and Villa Grove is a place a few of you call home. What do you have for me today, Loyalty?
Had a friend that was born and raised in Villa Grove, pretty good FB player. Town on the Embarras? Used to be a tale about a giant spoonbill catfish that allegedly dwelt in a pond. I haven't been there for 30 years. I gather the railroad crossing is still an issue?

As for recruiting, I dunno what the staff is thinking. My thought is I would be looking at the portal for a mobile rotation quality big and a depth piece point guard.

Has any kid ever said I’m going here if I pull out of the draft? Did Skyy say I’m going to Illinois right after he de committed?
I am sorry to quote you here instead of the message you quoted but that was real dumb. Even if they said it to somebody, it would not be in public.

If we're gonna go for elite skills and percentages, we need to shoot for higher than a 30 inch vertical.

Embiid and Jokic are the closest thing to Kofi size while being really good shooters. The Dirk/KAT types are leaner. Kofi's absolute ceiling would be like if he could be a Steven Adams type. Mis-era'd Kevin Duckworth is probably more likely though.

Powell only 6’6” not a big otherwise you include Nick Anderson, Mike Battle, etc.
You should really check out YouTube to see some classic one-on-one battles (pun intended) between Mike Battle and John Morant, Ja's less-talented yet extraordinary brother (5 PPG!). Neither one can go left even though they're both left-handed, but the footwork: amazing! I mean, they both travel quite a bit and carry the ball a little too often. But other than that, amazing!
