Nance is the only proven threat for sure but Cohawk was starting to hit them towards the end of the season so hope is there that can become consistent enough to be a guardable threat. Dain is a mystery but certainly seems to have the ability from clips we can see and infamous "practice reports". Hope it plays out where can have 5 on the floor that can hit from deep will be fun to see that kind of line up/style of play.

Any news on Hutcherson's and Grandison's decision? I'm pretty sure we all have the same take on Jake but Hutcherson may end up coming back, who knows. I'd like to add him back if he could stay healthy. Kid is a freak athlete when he's at or above 90%!

I don't mean to be a jerk, but what indication of any kind is there that Hutcherson might be back? Honestly, he would be a waste of a scholarship (and probably was for the past 2 years).

Easy for you to say in hindsight that he was "a waste of a scholarship" for the last two years but noting before these injuries sustained at Illinois looked like he would be a wasted scholarship. The kid can ball and I don't think anyone can question that. His injuries were unfortunate but a kid with that much talent and raw athleticism will never be considered a waste of a scholarship in my eyes.
@illini0440 my prediction now, versus a couple weeks ago, is Hutch stays for next year, assuming we don't somehow bizarrely end up in a scholarship crunch.

Please don't start posts with a seemingly factual statement when you have no knowledge or have read anything from credible sources that say that. If you want to give your opinion, then feel free but please start it with "I don't think" or "IMO".
And wasted scholarship? What recruit did we not get because Hutcherson was on scholarship? There aren't enough meaningful minutes to dole out to 13 players. The coaches can afford to roll the dice on a few prospects. A lot of the time they don't pan out, but occasionally they do. The ones that don't get to play can still play an important role as teammates. I don't see that he's done anything to deserve being called "a wasted scholarship".
