The problem isn't that you offered a post related to recruiting, it's that you had to use all of those boring old outdated grandpa words instead of a lit picture story.

Well, that's only because my magnum opus, Economics in 100 GIFs, is pending final approval with my publisher.

Good question. What, in the NIL area, would the Illini program offer that our competitors formerly attracting IL recruits don't? It seems to me that the NIL sitch among Power Conference schools doesn't afford anyone a competitive advantage. It seems akin to a transparent technological advancement that isn't patent-protected: all competitors avail themselves of it and, while consumers benefit from a better or more-efficiently fabricated product, none of the producers are able to earn marginal rents at their competitors' expense.

And please accept my humble apologies for offering a post actually related to recruiting. ;)
We at UI recruit by use of big blue and by artificial intelligence to find all recruits. Then, big blue picks those said recruits for NIL deals. Then, big blue hacks NBA teams' computer systems and boosts those same players' draft picks thus increasing their NBA salaries. That and Fletch are why we are becoming the new blue blood. Coincidence? I think not!

Nope... nothing new from me either. But when someone does break some good/bad news, I'd like to be able to swiftly find the post and not have to worry about essentially scrolling through a 5th grader's camera roll full of worn-out GIFs and unfunny material.

Not too much in this article about Mayer, you haven’t already seen here, but I didn’t realize he only shot 32% from 3. Also a blurb here about Kofi and the draft. SI ranks Kofi 100th as a draft prospect. Usually SI is completely irrelevant but they’re not far off the other ranking services here.

About Kofi, I'm going to assume a lot of the players in front of him will pull out of the draft and he will find himself around ~70 or so pre-draft. I really hope he hears his name called.
And we've seen Mayer's potential offensively in 2020/21, but he definitely struggled more there in 21/22. Regardless, his real value is defensively he's an All-NCAA level defender and would give us a whole new dimension with his ability to switch screens even onto guards.
