I looked up UCLA, Baylor, and Virginia's schedule to see if any of them had good litmus tests before the Vegas tourney. All of them play cupcakes just like us. But Virginia does play Monmouth 3 days before we do, so that's something at least.

Before coming to Champaign, Syracuse doesn't have much either. They are in a tournament with Richmond, St. John's, and Temple. Maybe we can see Curbelo light them up.

Texas, OTOH, does have some good tests before playing us. They play Gonzaga and Creighton, both at home.

I couldn't find Mizzou's schedule. I guess that tells you how excited they are about their season, lol.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit to learn that the administrative side of Missouri basketball was as big a dumpster fire as the actual team.

Cool seeing Melendez use his length that effectively to get the bucket....but...I don't expect we'll spread the floor so well that we create that kind of lane. (yes, I know it's just a practice set).

I think it will be rare that we have more than two 6'9+ guys on the court at the same time. Mayer and one of Coleman/Dainja.

Easier target would have been their dearth of Big 10 championships. Iowa's last outright B10 championship in MBB was more than 50 years ago (1970) and their last shared title was more than 40 years ago (1979).
