just a sincere thank you and shout out to you for posting all the state school stuff every week. thanks dude

You are very welcome sir.

EIU and other OVC sports are on ESPN+ and have been for several years now. A lot better than when it was on the OVC Digital Network. Honestly I only have ESPN+ for EIU football anymore now. I've basically checked out on EIU basketball except for a game here or there because of how far the program has fallen.

Top games today include Alabama-Texas, Tennessee-Pittsburgh, Kentucky-Florida, and Baylor-BYU.

Among the state schools, there's Chattanooga at EIU, WIU at Minnesota, SEMO at SIU, Valpo at ISU, and NIU at Tulsa.

I'm watching the longhorns vs. bama.....................entertaining game so far ....lot's of media time outs due to hard hits and players slow to get up.....

Longhorn long completed passes and an 81 yd TD run by bama TB.....

That was an incredibly weak roughing the passer. That should be a safety. What in the world. Alabama getting let off the hook when their offense looks absolutely horrible.

EDIT: LOL WHAT. I mean they made the right decision ultimately, but that's nuts. Offeciating in college football makes zero sense at this point.

Didn’t see it, care to play-by-play?

The quarterback wasn’t down, so he still was fair game. The defender never came close to hitting him in the head, let alone hitting him at all. Was there a receiver even in the area? He wasn’t out of the tackle box and the ball didn’t go across the line of scrimmage. Should have been a safety!

Bryce Young gets wrapped up in the end-zone, but kind of falls on the player sacking him. Two Texas players come in to finish the safety. It looks like a legit safety. Of course, the two Texas players get called for targeting and roughing the passer. The targeting gets reviewed (the roughing the passer is not reviewable). After the review, the official states that he called the roughing the passer penalty by mistake and that there was no targeting AND they are taking away the roughing the passer, but Bryce Young got the ball away and it's 4th down.

Basically, roughing the passer isn't supposed to be reviewed, but was. No penalty is the right call, but the way they got there is laughable. Also, I'm unconvinced the pass happened before he was down.

If this was confusing, let me tell you it was every bit as confusing watching it in real time.

It’s like I was there! Thanks for the break-down Ghost!
