"Bielema, who is Wisconsin’s second all-time in wins with 68, holds a slim 68-67 advantage over Paul Chryst, who would have matched Bielema, had the Badgers won."

Not sure I’ve smiled so big watching an Illini football game since the Ohio state upset. Just awesome! Team really could be something special. I-L-L

As much as I agree with this I do wonder if that loss was necessary in the sense that it propels this team to greater heights.
We’ll never know, but an interesting theory. The ride home after that game had to be tough for offense thinking about the stalled drive and the turnovers — and the D allowing The final IU TD. Probably easy to get their attention and coach them up after that.

The defense was amazing again...but I loved the short passing game. In a game where there wasn't a ton of running room, those short passes for positive yardage were huge. That 4th and 4 to Isaiah was beautiful.

Our offense isn't explosive, but is a very refreshing change to the many years of watching us try to complete those quick slants or screens and the ball is either thrown poorly, or the WR drops it, or gets tackled for a loss.

How many sacks did we end up with? Can't seem to find on any of the box score stats

I'm admittedly more of a fair weather fan when it comes to football. I mean, I still watch almost all the games on TV even in a down year but I don't attend as many games or get emotionally vested like I do for basketball. But after today, I'm all in.
Would love for this to be the start of a methodical ascent toward P5 relevancy.
If we can just pull off a few more wins, I think recruiting will start to take care of itself.

I live in Naples and my parents lived on Ft. Myers beach until yesterday, so this was something positive after one of the worst weeks I can possibly imagine. Thanks BB
We own at Sanibel Beach Club. Were due to go down next Saturday. My wife is on the Board of Directors. Our household has been hopping with activity. Ian's destruction is worse than Charley's. I know where you are coming from.
