Does anyone know why the DIA withholds tickets for sale? For example, it appears that only the first 8-10 rows of the upper east balcony are for sale while the remaining 30 are not. Also, both both end zone sections on east pqpqbalcony are not for sale.

Does that permit them to announce a sell-out on technicality if they never put those seats for sale?

I noticed they did this last week as well but went about 20 rows up the east balcony.
My other thought was that they might want it to look fuller for TV sightlines too. If you fill the rows closer to the field first, cameras might be less likely to pick up empty seats and it'll give the impression of higher attendance.

Just found this guy on youtube. He picks 6 games each Saturday and dives into the advanced statistics of each one. This week our game is one of his 6, and he is very intrigued by the matchup. Jump to 29:03 to listen to our game preview, but I recommend listening to the whole thing if you're a college football fan. It's good stuff.

The most interesting thing I got out of it:

Minnesota's bread & butter has been their ability to sustain drives, but they don't have many explosive plays. So that makes me think...

A) Our defense is in for a long day. Our offense will have trouble moving the ball without Devito, and their offense will slowly and methodically wear down our D until we break.

B) They have been struggling to find explosive plays teams against bad teams. Now they face a real defense and we will expose them with another dominating performance because they won't be able to consistently convert those 3rd downs like they have been.

He also talks about how bad our offense is, but I really think with Devito we could have moved the ball a little better against the elite Iowa D and probably punched in a couple TD's in the 2nd half. Our offensive numbers would've been looking much better. Hopefully Devito can go and prove my theory right against another good D.

Minnesota has beaten:

Colorado 0-5

New Mexico State 1-5

Western Illinois 0-5

Michigan state 2-4

Lost to Purdue 20-10.

They can’t be that tough.
The average ranking of their opponents is 142.

Ours is 79.
All that says is Illinois has played a tougher schedule thus far than Minnesota. Not sure how Illini beating Wyoming while MN beats Colorado equates to MN not being tough.

I think Illini will win, but Minnesota is a good team.

Umm, sorry about the “hard day’s night” comment yesterday. 😳
Lol no worries it was a clever line.

In regards to our schedule, there’s no arguing it’s been weak. But the games were blowouts with our first team D not allowing a single touchdown and just 3 points total in those four wins.

Will be a low scoring game and will probably come down to which QB plays better and limits turnovers.

As an aside, as TDV has settled in and improved with the offense going in more of a tempo style that suits his strengths, it has definitely succeeded more between the 20's than in the red zone, which is a very common attribute of that kind of offense.

Im thinking if Art cant be minimally successful passing, then we may have to go barge to wear down their defense a bit. I think a whole week with the ones on offense will calm Art down. I for one am still optimistic of success. Go ahead Art, make my day !

I need a pondering boost , big time ......................................I really really do...........................

Did a factory reset on my phone and lost 247 straight days of playing. Priorities!
That’s impressive just for the fact of remembering to play that many days in a row. My longest streak is probably about 40 days, though I think I’ve only not gotten the word twice since I started playing.

Hi everyone. Gopher fan here who’s really looking forward to this game. Partly because we’re coming off a bye so I’m starving to see my team play. No question this is our toughest game to date, I couldn’t be more impressed with how Bielema has turned your program around. Similar teams I think, both with good D and a great featured RB. Game will probably come down to who makes the fewest mistakes. The line surprises me but I’m wondering if Vegas knows something about the status of Devito. Vegas does their homework and that’s my only explanation for a spread of 6.5.
These two teams are very similar! I'm looking forward to another hard fought game!!

If we didn't have so many miscues against Iowa this week's prognostications would not have us as being the underdog even without TD. We dominated that game, and our D was on the field longer than it should have been. So, with temps forecasted in the high 50's to low 60's I believe even if our defense is on the field a little bit longer than we would like, we will still be fresh enough to control and neutralize their ground game. We Will Win.

Who is moron who asked if getting a sack ever gets old? Geez. Other thing that drives me nuts are the reporters who ask long-winded questions where they’ve basically answered their own questions.
What’s funny too: he 100% asked that question just so he could quote in an article “Keith Randolph says getting a sack in each game never gets old”.

Yeah, with the long-winded questions I referenced as hating, you know the reporter is just fishing for a quote that fits the narrative of the article/game recap he/she is writing. I get it, but it makes for crappy interviews and press conferences.

BB called them out on this stuff during a recent press appearance, saying ‘I think you guys write your stories before you ask the questions’ or something similar
