Is the "Live" Radio working for anyone else? I can't seem to get it to work.

How did Ty go 1/1 on free throws without taking a shot. Did he shoot a technical?

-dont currently see any reliable 3p shooting

My 1st half observations (specifically for those not watching)

Good:
- Coleman Hawkins was our best player
- The length is there, and it’s going to create a lot of steals on the perimeter. We did a great job not allowing any dribble penetration and forcing Quincy into contested jumpers (and they made a few absolute prayers)
- Going to get a lot of transition buckets
- Ty’s motor is great, and he’s going to be good on the glass
- Harris is a pest on defense. Looks like a mini Trent Frazier out there
- Melendez has the confidence and will have some 20pt nights this year
- Mayer can dribble like a point guard

Bad:
- Doesn’t feel like the kind of team that’s going to lead the B1G in fewest turnovers
- Half court offense leaves much to be desired, but trying not to read too hard into 20 minutes. Lot of dribble weave action, take 3 hard dribbles to the hoop and blindly throw the ball back out to the perimeter. We took some questionable shots and were sloppy with the ball. Ty needs to play with his head up on the offensive end
- Dainja looked confused out there. Maybe 1st college game nerves
- Rebounding… we need more of it
- 3pt shooting was obviously not great, but we took decent shots and didn’t miss horribly, so gonna chalk it up to misfortune
- Communication gonna be key on defense. Some weird lapses where we left guys wide open because guys didn’t talk.

If some of those open 3s goes down this is a giant blowout already. Rebounding and turnovers need to get better
Agree, if we get out rebounded by 20 every game big trouble. Can't try to get up 20 more shots on opponent and figure to win that way. Didn't work 1st year for BU, won't work this year. Have to pull a Houston and attack glass with 3 players. Rebounding is big concern. We have some serious talent.

Illinois has 2 games on B1G+ this season, the pay online service. (It doesn't matter if you have BTN or not, still have to pay to watch B1G+)

Sign up for the Illinois Monthly School Pass option for $9.95/month.

Illini Basketball on B1G+
Fri, Oct 28___Quincy (Exhibition Game)
Fri, Nov 25___Lindenwood

The 2 games are within a month so if you only use B1G+ for Illini Basketball sign up on Oct 28th then immediately cancel/turn off the auto renew so you're only charged one time.

But if you want to watch women’s basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, etc., BTN+ is a must have and a godsend.

I don’t think the rebounding is a stylistic choice or personnel issue. We’re just not attacking the ball. Guys aren’t all there tonight effort-wise.

The most important item so far....CoHawk has lost the yellow and black shoes....
Thank you, for the comment. Lol. The Hawkeye shoes annoyed me way, way more than it should have…but nonetheless that is great to hear.

Meyer shows his maturity and experience on the court. He’s going to lead this team…as he should.

I don’t think there’s a lot to read into that half, but…. If I were to draw any conclusions, it’s that we’re really going to miss Plummer, and wish Goode was healthy. Every good team needs a sharpshooter, and I don’t see one.

I think I was one of the few that thought we would really miss Goode. Just can’t have enough shooters.

Coach stated yes when the team talks on defense its awesome. When they don't it's bad.
