Week 10 Games

If Iowa is not careful, they could get charged with child abuse for what they are doing to Purdue, easily going up 24-3 with less an a quarter left. The Boiler's qb Aidan (Ice Bath) O'Connell, who is completing less than 50% of his passes, has been hurried, sacked three times so far, and pummeled like a cheap pinata, has no muscles left to be bruised.

You'd figure Jim Leonhard will soon be one win away from leaving no doubt that he's the permanent HC at Wisky. They might get more than that, they look like Wisconsin again.

As I say it Braelon Allen seems to have hurt something in his hand/wrist area.

Well, you have to figure our slim chance of ever hosting Gameday in Champaign is all but gone, BUT I'll gladly take the extra cushion against Purdue. If current results hold, the standings look like this:

Big Ten West
Illinois: 4-1
Iowa: 4-3
Purdue: 3-3
Wisconsin: 3-3
Minnesota: 3-3
Nebraska: 2-4
Northwestern: 1-5

If the Illini can beat MSU today, we can all but clinch it with a win over Purdue next week. We would have the tie-breaker over literally the whole division (except for NU, whom we haven't played yet, obviously) with a 2.5 game lead over Iowa...

If we win today and against Purdue, it is clinched. We could lose our final two games and still win the division.

I'll definitely take your word for it, I just didn't want to do the work of finding out if it was technically possible for someone else to win it! :ROFLMAO:

But yeah - we are so in the driver's seat for the West that it would take an epic collapse. Keep playing our game.

No matter what Purdue did today, it comes down to us against Purdue next week. We lose that game and we would need to win at UM to win the West. That assumes Purdue wins their last two games but I suppose that’s not guaranteed.

If we can’t beat Purdue, we don’t deserve to win the west.

BUT - based on how Purdue played today, I could see them losing that Indiana game.

Watching Rutgers take a lead into the locker room at half. How is Rutgers on top? Because they are throwing the ball against Mich. I know we want to run the ball and we have an amazing back in CB. But let's face it, Devito has been the difference in the offense and a huge reason for our success this year as a team (with all due credit to the D as well). Lunney has to incorporate some passing into the game plan, and especially into the red zone planning. Running up the gut 3 straight times is leading us to the bottom third in red zone stats among FBS teams. Gotta get a lot more creative down the stretch with the West Division clincher in sight and Mich coming up.

As bad as our day was, imagine how #4 Clemson fans are feeling. They're playing like garage against ND.
