I think Harris has outplayed Epps so far. Not what I expected but I think he is playing himself into the rotation.Think the consistent shooter may be Epps. The rest capable but not consistent which was true of Frazier.

That's the kind of reasoned thinking I've come to love from this board!Dain Dainja = Shaq and KD hybrid
^^^This. Not too much to add. Damn obviously has been a boon. Think RJ is playing hard and will figure it out soon. Hopefully Mayer gets the message.
And one day, Harris is going to make a dunk. And it will be glorious.
First game Harris was better, second game Epps...Epps ran the offense well and looked like the game was slowing down for him in the second halfI think Harris has outplayed Epps so far. Not what I expected but I think he is playing himself into the rotation.

Harris and Epps are two entirely different type of players. They both complement each other well. Fortunate to have these fine young men representing this great institution.
Epps was pretty impressive against the Roos. Until the late threes, Harris had a tough night.I think Harris has outplayed Epps so far. Not what I expected but I think he is playing himself into the rotation.
Agree on Mayer and RJ. I thought Skyy played well though. 10 pts. 2/3 from the field. Hit all 5 of his free throws. Did a nice job running the offense.Pretty incredible what we've been able to do with little impact from Skyy, RJ, or Mayer.
We debate every offseason about how deep will we be, and it almost never pans out. This year, we are actually deep and it's so fun to watch.
That said, deeper doesn't necessarily mean better. I'm ready for a legit opponent.
Think RJ particularly played great defense. Need to look beyond the stats. Tied for first in steals and second in blocks. Not sure his role is defined but scoring may not be primary. It's weird with RJ and Mayer, maybe they dont play down well. The defense may just be to soft for them and maybe they just have too much space. They need the game to be adrenaline filled to bring the monster.

Same as Zach Edey. Gives me hope I’m that matchup7'7"
Ngl lie that is one illegal @$$ screen, no pun intended. Lucky to get away with it.
Missed this bb iq move from Ty. Got them with different ends on both ends of this play....
Seems like it would be really tough to break into the rotation at that point. Hopefully there is some chemistry developed and the roles are known. Also as it is a foot injury his conditioning will suffer.Ngl lie that is one illegal @$$ screen, no pun intended. Lucky to get away with it.
Watching us start ice cold from 3 got me thinking about Luke. Not because of his direct impact on making 3s but his indirect impact. You can’t help off him, which means when he’s on the court the other guys are playing 4 on 4. That’s advantage offense because it means longer closeouts and rotations. That leads to better drive and kick opportunities for everyone. I’ll be interested to see how everyone else’s 3 point percentage looks once Luke is back on the floor. It looks like he’ll be back around halfway through the season, so should have a good sample of both.
