Please tell me this is a joke...

Brown being snubbed is blasphemy, especially since he played in every game and had 10 100-yard performances! Though I am sure Ibrahim's game against Iowa sealed his spot.

EDIT: Upon review, Ibrahim and Corum are deserving. Ibrahim was a beast when fully healthy. Just stinks that only two can be included. The biggest knock on Chase Brown versus the others is that he has half of the TD's. If I were to choose, I would leave Corum off 1st-Team.

Apparently TD's and yards/rush are most important factors here, instead of being a work horse. Very disappointing.

When being the best (or at least better) isn’t good enough… you know you are an Illini.

to be the NATIONS leading rusher and not be named one of two first-team all conference selections has to be unprecedented.

absolutely disrespectful to everything him and the team accomplished this year.

what are the metrics they are using if not RUSHING YARDS?

our OLINE just so dominant that anyone could have led the nation in rushing behind them?? ….. no first-team OLINE selections.

too far down in the standings? we finished ahead of minnesota and won the H2H matchup.

it’s disrespect, plain and simple.

Except Corum had 3 first team all Americans paving the way ahead of him - 2 guards and their center are also on the list. So yeah, of course he was more productive. Our O-line is good but not 3 first team all American good.

I agree, which is why I said that I would have left Corum off the 1st-team if I had a choice. In my mind, there is no doubt that Brown and Ibrahim are the two best RB's in the B1G. However, there is no way that the media or coaches would leave a darling child from Michigan off the list. I do think all 3 RB's deserve 1st-team honors, but only 2 get them. It is just disappointing that Chase did not get the respect that Ibrahim obviously got. It is clear as day that Chase or Ibrahim would average well over 6 yards a carry behind the Mich O-Line.

it's even more impressive that chase led power 5, which obviously means ahead of Ibrahim and Corum, in rush yards while being banged up a few games. complete disrespect for chase and illinois. hell, even northwestern had a player on this list and they won 1 game all season!

This is an absolute joke. Nobody was more important to their team than Chase was for the Illini as a RB. Led nearly end to end in yards as a RB. And in head to head matchups, Chase out performed both backs in both games! Hogwash

"Illinois had eight offensive players earn All-Big Ten accolades, the conference office announced Wednesday. RB Chase Brown, C Alex Pihlstrom, and OT Alex Palczewski each earned second team honors, while OG Isaiah Adams landed on the third team.

Illinois had 19 players earn All-Big Ten honors in 2022, the most in program history, and 31 honorees in the last two seasons with Bret Bielema as head coach, the Illini's most ever in a two-year span."

Seriously. Corum is a decent back, but he's no dawg. Brown definitely the tougher back of the three, plays through the injuries and can really catch the ball out of the backfield which distinguishes him from the rest of the bunch.

goofer RB missed a couple games if I remember correctly and corum missed the rest of our game and the osu game because of a hard Illini tackle.......

Chase got racked numerous times and mostly played through the injuries telling BB " I;m good to go "" after that one tackle where both his legs got straightened up hard.

I got your back Mr. Chase Brown ......You're my 1st team B$G RB....................you really really are..........................
