Maybe i'm getting older, but shame on the Maryland AD for not getting on the loudspeaker for throwing things on the court, and yelling obvious obscenities towards opposing players. I would imagine there were several youngsters in attendance, and they don't need to hear that. I guess it's what i would expect from the Wash DC area. Absolute trash. The Kevin Warren lead Big 10 has been an embarrassment overall.

That was just a disjointed game. We could not get a flow going for any extended period of time. Oddly called game had something to do with it in MHO, and not blaming the refs. Game was winnable. We did not execute
Yeah it seems we kinda got a bit discombobulated and put out of our game. But we still fought hard and I can still see the potential.

Yeah I'm fine losing a road game to a Maryland team of this caliber. I'm not fine losing to the Philly fans of college basketball.
What were they saying to our players?

Give MD credit. They hit the big shot. And we didn’t. Great teams find ways to win in close games. I liked our D tonight though. Underwood will make us a better team after the loss. When you lose 85% of your scoring from previous year it takes time. We’ll be fine.
Our first half defense along with some questionable calls hurt us.. Our defense in the first half is why we lost but some questionable calls didn't help. The only call in our favor they missed clearly was TJS traveled but we had about 4 go against us like that.

Our D will improve

At initial look at the schedule, this was going to be a toss up on the road. It’s a loss, but to a solid team in a tough environment.
Now they should win their first four B1G road games. With the way they battle when you’re backed up against the wall….it’s a good sign. They should be fine on the road.

Look there's a lot to be frustrated about but this team fights their balls off. Lot of things didn't go our way and we kept swinging. We'll be fine, we will grow a ton from this. Would LOVE to get a crack at Maryland again in the BTT.

I feel our defense in the 1st half was the difference. We left way too many open 3’s and they made us pay. If we had cut that 1st half margin we would have won by 2-4 points.

Their starting 5 is really good, and may carry them this year if they stay injury free. Their big crowd carried them in certain moments too.

It’s incredibly irritating that Maryland continues to have our number, no matter what…

That's what makes it boring and obvious, but defensively we switch everything and create chaos and force all five opponents into discomfort, at the cost sometimes of "take away this one or two guys".

That said, the transition back to UnderwoodBall is, all things told, going somewhat better than I'd feared. We have the right roster for it which we did not in 2017.

Someone needs to get a phone call after that game. That is unacceptable, not only for young fans in attendance, but also for advertisers and anyone watching on TV.
