PSU will not shoot 62%, unless they channel Rollie Massiminno and the 1984 Villanova team
He had an open look close in, but chose to pass out to the corner…Can someone please let Hawkins know he can still take a shot while he’s wide open.
We're in front of him but he's being allowed to bump his way all the way to the hoop. If a defensive player moved him the same way it'd be called a foul all day. We’re staying in front of him alright. He’s backing our guys down underneath the basket and then winking at Fletch on his way back down the court.![]()
You cannot double this team if you leave an open shooter from 3, they will hit it the have 3 players shooting 40% from 3 zone or diamond in 1 on Pickett would be ideal, but we don't not practice them. So we are left with the defense we employ we just have to be better at itGiving up 47 points in the 1H, at home, against Penn State, is comically awful. If we don’t see double teams thrown at Pickett the entire 2H then that is concerning.
Thank You!Every single Big 10 team is going to bring it every single day. Gotta be ready. I was nervous about this one after the win the other night. Complacency has reared its ugly head.
Brad is stubborn he will not change but you are correct the switching is killing us
I think at this point you have to double Pickett. He is a guaranteed bucket everytime or a 3 pt play. We need to do something different. He is just too strong in the post. Last year, Damonte had the length to keep him somewhat contained. We barely eeked out the win at SFC but lost Grandison in the process. Penn State is a very deliberate team and will play deep in the shot clock nearly every possession. We have to be controlled on offense and not try to get it back all at once. If we employ the same defensive strategy, game over. You cannot double this team if you leave an open shooter from 3, they will hit it the have 3 players shooting 40% from 3 zone or diamond in 1 on Pickett would be ideal, but we don't not practice them.
