i've always been a little curious about mccray as a TE but im not sure if they'd consider that

Unless you have a clear cut #1 back (nope) than BB will be exploring options now and over the next few months. I am the #1 Laughery fan on this board but I am also aware he missed a bunch of games his senior season (helmet to the knee) and got banged up a little in practice this season as a freshman. I am not down on Love or McCray and other guys will develop that are on the roster. Chase Brown was a game changer and all of us just want another game changing RB which makes sense.

They like Love and Laughery. They like McCray too but not sure he works out of the shot gun.
I would like your thoughts on the Feagin kid from Atwood Hammond... Do you see him actually being a running back or will he most likely move to defense? I have heard so much chatter over here from people its hard to know what he really will play.. Just nice to have more representation from Central IL on the team

We will see. Think it’s going to be a big adjustment for him going to B1G football from 1a where he just ran over everyone. Once he gets his feet wet it wouldn’t surprise me if they move him to defense.

Interesting. I would think we'd be looking at a transfer out as well, in that scenario.
I could see it after spring ball. The picture will be a lot clearer by then on who is impressing and who is getting buried on the depth chart. Of course position changes are possible too if the player is willing.

We are set for RB’s next year. Coaching staff is excited about red shirt freshman, Jordan Anderson. He will be our featured back along with true freshman, Kaden Feagin. Both will be studs. Look for McCray to switch positions.
Don't know much about Anderson but from what I have seen of Feagin I tend to believe that he is going to be a monster!

I sound like I’m in the minority, but I saw a nice jump from Love from last year to this year. Excited what he could bring to the table again next year.

As for McCray, was he never fully recovered from the injury early on? Or does he just need to find his confidence again? A full offseason should help either way.

I agree. Felt like mccray played like he was rusty like he hadn’t played in a yr and i didn’t mind the way love played at all. imo miss st owned the line of scrimmage. 7 sacks for -35 rushing yds….. In a nutshell MYSELF personally would be just fine with love and mccray at rb. Oline can use another body or two after yesterday’s loss.

What you saw Monday with Love & McCray is what you would get next year. Neither will be our featured backs. The coaching staff knows that as well. Because of Chase Brown, that is why the coaching staff did no want to burn a year of eligibility with Jordan Anderson. Insiders have heard he could be someone special. Coming out of high school he ride offers from most of the top schools on the country.

I'm a huge fan of large, strong bruising running backs but considering we were Jordan Anderson's only P5 offer I don't think he had free rides lined up. Offered by mostly MAC teams aside from us. He is a raw prospect and nowhere near a feature running back yet(if that's even his best position. I'm not convinced).

Recruiting numbers may not look great right now but coach Bert is a good one. He will bring in great lines for sure ad well. We have stating power.

Maybe in time they will be our featured backs but not next year. These two are just going to surpass both Love and McCray? I have a hard time believing BB is going to roll with a true freshman and an redshirt freshman. I've been wrong before, but I don't buy this.
Bb starting a freshman is hard to believe? Monti Ball 2009, PJ Hill 2006, James White 2016
