We will see. Think it’s going to be a big adjustment for him going to B1G football from 1a where he just ran over everyone. Once he gets his feet wet it wouldn’t surprise me if they move him to defense.
If McCray and Jordan Anderson aren't living up to what had been hoped for them as these oversized bruisers of RB's, there starts to be a bit of writing on the wall for Feagin.

Which is far from the end of the story for any of those three players of course, big guys that can move are always useable pieces in the game of football.

I have to admit, i didn't see this happening. We don't need to be losing key players, but thankfully we are loaded at WR.

Losing a guy with 37 catches in '21 stings. Didn't expect Hightower to stick through all of the lack of playing time under Lovie/Peterson only to leave once he's starting and producing under Bielema/Lunney.
Agreed - you hate to lose starters who had a breakout season with eligibility left. Unfortunately this is the world of the transfer portal and NIL - the grass always seems greener and some will want to test how in demand they are and where they can go

Do we know why he didn’t play in the Bowl game?

Bb starting a freshman is hard to believe? Monti Ball 2009, PJ Hill 2006, James White 2016

BB has no problem playing running backs early if they are talented. He tends to shy away from FR being the #1 guy unless out of need or something special.

PJ Hill is the only back from that list that carried the load his FR year. That is mainly because BB got promoted to Head Coach from DC and that is all Wisconsin had on the roster. If we are going by rankings only, PJ Hill would be the lowest ranked recruit in either the 2022 or 2023 class so take the numbers with a grain of salt.

PJ Hill started 3 seasons and had a FR backup his whole time

2009 John Clay Soph started with Montee Ball FR backup

2010 John Clay Jr, Montee Ball So, James White Jr (few yards from having all three 1,000 yard rushers that season)

2011 Montee Ball Jr and James White So

2012 Montee Ball Sr, James White Jr, Melvin Gordon FR

The torch just kept getting passed to the next guy in the system. BB is doing the same thing now and playing the guys that are in the system and slowly developing more guys that he brings in. Only difference now is he has the choice to add a RB quicker if he thinks an upgrade is needed.

We are?

Isiah is a good weapon. Beyond that? Bryant showed a few flashes. Anyone else?
Washington will be back, Beatty will be a good WR, Shawn Miller missed this year because of an injury. He was a very talented player from IMG. Pugh was one of our highest recruits last year. Wilcher has blazing speed and was one of the most productive receivers in Florida which says a lot. Collin Davis is an outstanding young receiver we got from Ohio and a former Wisconsin commit. Most likely Elzy will be an Illini from everything we have heard. WR is the strength of our team over every other position.

I mean, you list about 8 players that combined for ~330 receiving yards (of which CWash was 312) last year. Hightower was more than that individually

I hope they're great, but potential does not necessarily equal 'loaded'
