Illinois wins.

I'm sorry, I believe you are looking for the 2021/22 Illinois vs Wisconsin thread.

This is not the thread you were looking for.

This will be the ultimate test. Wisconsin the epitome of a culture program, we can get back on track with a win here. First few minutes will tell a lot on how dialed in we are...

Who wants to take a guess on who on our roster gets punked by Tyler Wahl? I can just see it now...clear out a side, take someone down for a ride on the block and score...over and over and over.

i feel oddly optimistic about this game since the Badgers really aren't that good and our stock is so low

Wisconsin is going to methodically run their stuff and be sound. They'll just wait for us to make mistakes and capitalize.

I could see it being a game where they get a small lead and just continue to stretch it slowly until the horn sounds. Probably lose by 12-15 points.

Remember the Vegas trip? That was fun.

I have a feeling the fans that the players raved about then might not be as jovial and supportive on Saturday.

Must win is a dumb phrase that is way over used... Lets just win 12 (or more) out of the last 17 games. Would also like to be clicking at the right time. Maybe this is the year we under perform in the regular season and click at the right time in the tournaments.

Gotta make the tourney first. The way we are playing will not cut it.

I'm starting to think this season is going to depend on Jayden Epps being the guy on offense. He's the only one that can manipulate a defense consistently. Mayer is wildly inconsistent and plays too much hero ball and Shannon is really only effective when he has a wide open lane to drive.

Right now Epps is 5th in usage behind Shannon, Dainja, Hawkins, and Mayer. He needs to be top 2 imo.

I would say this is a W but this is an afternoon game. I think we play better but still come up short.
