It was even worse… By rule, they could only review whether the Minny player tipped the shot, which he did not.
But instead of reversing the call, they told the Gopher coach that it was either a tip or a foul - so they gave the possession back to OSU, even while admitting Minny did not touch the ball, smh.
I actually liked the OSU MN broadcast. Was intense. I don't care about the prognostications of most commentators. Although I suppose if it was the norm instead of a novelty, it might get kind of tiresome.

i didn't know that a foul was reviewable - but since we missed the foul, although last touched by OSU .... OSU gets the ball. refs are bafflingly bad
Just got home, turned on the tube, and about threw up twice. 1 for Iowa and 1 for Michigan. I'd actually like to see this one go about 22 overtime, all players foul out, and settle by a boxing match in the circle. Fran vs. Juwan

Only the tip was reviewable, but they explained they would give it to the Buckeyes anyway because they missed the foul (questionable).
These refs might want to ask the B1G to turn off the coach mics, because their incompetence was there for all to hear…

So terrible to have to root for one of Michigan or Iowa. I think currently, I'm happy that Iowa won....and now I am throwing up in my mouth.

2 or 3 years ago they reviewed something in an illinois game and issued a fould afterwards. That was the same thought process then, you can't review to call a foul. It wasn't flagrant or anything...wanna say it was at PSU.

Happens on a nightly basis. It is painfully obvious there is zero oversight of the officials, and no consequences for incompetence. Luckily for Minnesota a blatant disregard of the rules of the game did not cost them this game. How many B10 games each season are final outcomes directly impacted/changed by "officiating" like this? I'm guessing it's easily in the double digits.
When you hate both teams, root for the home team, barring any standings implications. So…the right team won!
The OSU game that block was about as clean of a block as you would ever see. I wonder if the OSU board blew up.
