If Ayo wants to be a better NBA player, biggest thing he needs to work on is on his 3 point shooting. Only reason he is open on 3s now is because opposing teams don't respect his ability to make the shot consistently.
I think he will get there eventually in addition to his will-be elite defense. I can see him become a 2nd or 3rd offense option on a team.

Getting there eventually isn't going to get him far in the league in the short term. And he may be a 2nd or 3rd offense option on a team but likely on a bad team. Not on a team like the Bulls have right now with Demar, LaVine, and Vuc.

I don't disagree. He is not Bulls' solution in the short term even though he can help by scoring more. I think he can be a poor man's Demar with much better defense. That's not necessarily a bad team though.

There are plenty of guys in the league that can be a poor man's Demar. And there's also plenty of those guys on bad teams.

It's hard to get a lot of assists when Demar and LaVine have the ball about 80% of the time. He does look for Vuc inside and deliver it to him. He makes a lot of hustle plays that the stars don't typically make.
He just takes what he gets without disrupting the play of their volume shooters. He does need to improve his 3 point shooting though.

Not necessarily a bad team but can be a bad team. No contradiction here.

to my knowledge. standard NBA contracts are fully guaranteed. I dont know why a player would ever agree to a reduction in pay.

I can see someone taking a paycut to get a significant increase in playing time. That playing time may lead to a much larger follow on contract. Nunn's next contract is likely to be his last (age).

Good to know info, thanks. Nunn's salary doesn't match the likes of Stephen Curry, obviously, yet he made it into the NBA and has done as well as could be expected which is better than a lot of others who didn't. I checked out the list of names currently in the NBA and see Luka Garza is close to the bottom with $925,258.

I've never heard of this happening with an already signed contract in the history of sports. Free agent might take less for playing time but midseason, i can't think of anyone ever doing that.

Kendrick is doing great for where he was in college. windy road to 13.2 mil so far in the NBA. Its a dream for him no doubt.

Soon to be NBA..

recent mock has Hawkins at 39 and Shannon at 42. Also has recent transfer Podz going at 49.

I am hoping Hawkins stays another year to improve his stock to the first round.

I'll say I hope CoHawk proves me wrong and has a 10 yr NBA career and makes a boatload of $$ but I don't see anything in his game that translates to an NBA career. Not a perimeter scorer, not an inside scorer. Not a high level ballhandler/playmaker. He's an active perimeter defender, decent rebounder, but is mostly a garbageman type offensive player. I guess that's why the scouts make the big bucks.

I don't really disagree with this but he is tall, long, mobile and fast. He can guard and does have ball handling skills. That is all stuff to dream on.
