Trent Frazier will always be special to me with what he endured and how hard he worked to become a great representative for the Fighting Illini......
5 years of petal to the metal trying to improve the team and also himself into a fine young adult man.......I hope he enjoys his days of being paid to play the sport he loves ......I really hope he comes back to UI after his playing days are over .....seems like a coach in waiting .................JMHO

And this my friends is what we call NBA purgatory. Not bad enough to tank for a player like Wembanyama. Not good enough to be one of the contenders in the East or in the NBA.
One good thing about where they're at in the East right now is that they're only 3 GB from the 6 seed.

And to defend Arturas Karnisovas, who I like, everything about this looks different with Lonzo Ball. He was the pitch-perfect player to be alongside Derozan and Lavine.
Ayo's a great kid and a pro, but he's neither good enough nor stylistically right for that role.
It's just a really frustrating situation. They're trapped and the guy who could solve it has this infuriating incurable mystery injury.
If Ayo wants to be a better NBA player, biggest thing he needs to work on is on his 3 point shooting. Only reason he is open on 3s now is because opposing teams don't respect his ability to make the shot consistently.

The Bulls would rather have their 5 taking a three than their 1, it's a really weird team. But Derozan is the full Late Model Kobe experience now, which gives them a chance against anybody.
In today's NBA, it's not unusual for a 5 to shoot the 3 though.
