I'm just going to say it. We played freakin well tonight. We were the better team. We had the much better shot quality. Hand it to Iowa- they made high level shots and made the 527 free throws they were gifted. Play that game back 100 times with an actual competent reffing crew and we win 99 of them. This loss won't do anything to us. Im proud of how we came out in this one. Keep playing like this and we won't have many more losses this season.

Common theme in our losses- is an unexpected player on the other team has a career-scoring night and they hit a much higher % of FT's than we do. Still- I love the ascension of Epps and Ty and if Goode can make even a little contribution, we'll be in good shape and we are playing better and better. RJ really hurts us on offense- can't hit the side of a barn but I appreciate his improved on the ball defense. Too many bad fouls and TSJ didn;t have a great game- missed some contested bunnies and turnovers.

Great game!
Too many fouls and free throws for Iowa.
Biggest call of the game was in the 76 to 76 tie game when Hawkins get the rebound and clearly gets fouled. They review the play and award ball to Iowa because it went off Hawkins

Also, if nothing else, I'm proud that the Orange Krush forced Iowa to give back to the Boys and Girls Club. Those kids got to have an awesome moment because of the Krush.

Heck of a college basketball game. Can’t turn the ball over 14 times, make 0 baskets in the last 3 minutes and expect to win too many road games. Hawkins, Epps and TSJ 3/15 from 3. Baffling those guys keep chucking up 3s (and yes RJ too) Especially when Epps and TSJ can generally get downhill and score. Essentially turnovers too.

Oh well on to the next.

Way too many ridiculous turnovers especially lazy passing . Looked lost offensively last 3 minutes. Felt like a game we should have won.

To those who think the refs are the reason that Illini lost the game...

Good teams don't make dumb mistakes. Good teams play with a higher basketball IQ than this team showed at times during this game.
