Naive question here. How is aggression accounted for in special teams? Punt/kick block? Punt return play creativity?

He really likes to try and block punts. More so than other STC.
Is there a resource, somewhere, that shows comparative data on team blocked punts?
Not that I’m aware of or that I have access too but just watching his units they do a lot of interesting punt block stuff.
If that doesn't work, take him to cruising chubbies

Id love to see what the correlation is between blocked punts in a game and victories in that game
I’m guessing someone tried to poach him, so BB had to up the title to keep him.
Not sure how I feel about this. Co-DCs has a terrible history at Illinois. Also, his recruiting has left a lot to be desired, though the success of the DL was instrumental in how good the defense was last year. I trust BB, though.
I know little about the man or his recruiting, and I also trust BB. I'm just generally against Co-anything. Need one decision maker at the top. Staff discussion and consensus is good, but one person needs to own the call.

I’m guessing Henry will be the key decision maker. Title for Jamison is probably to keep him and/or to help prepare him for next step down the road.
We’ve known this was coming for like 2 months. Bret said in a presser he was going to be elevating Jamo’s title. Y’all worry too much about the Co-coordinator titles. Aaron Henry is going to be calling the defense in the game. Barring a blowout win then Jamo might call it in the 4th. The only time 2 people call the plays during the game is when Timmy B is the head coach. As for Jamo’s recruiting….he’s gotten us back into Chicago. Got us Elzy and in on some other kids up north. Football recruiting is more area based than position based.
Was this something that needed to happen in order to keep him?
No. He’s just a really good D line coach.

they just take the average finishes from the last 2-3-4 years & then apply their decades old biases and voila ….!….. you get a prediction for the future
Definitely file the guy’s tweet under who the hell cares and not quite sure why he has Purdue higher than Illini. But I can understand why people won’t be ranking the Illini very high. We lost our QB, a stud RB and a 12-year starter from OL. Our D was our strength and we lost our DC, 3 from the secondary (including a first rounder), and our leading tackler. On paper it looks like a lot to overcome and the Illini doesn’t have a recent history of just reloading. And we don’t have a highly rated recruiting class coming in and didn’t kill it in the transfer market. I think it is pretty understandable why the Illini are getting “no respect.” Now we just need to use it as additional motivation.
That, and this is the same genius who flogged Krush/Illini fans as the worst fan base after the Iowa nonsense. Try ignoring him / not worrying about his inane tweets and life ends being less stressful.

Right, so who cares. Sure it is nice when people pick the Illini high in the standings, but doesn’t matter. Need to do it on the field. String together some good seasons and the media type will be more inclined to pick the Illini higher, but, again, doesn’t matter.
