But I hate to have to set my alarm on a Saturday to get up for an 11 am CT start.

Fun fact - back in the 1980s Alaska had 3 time zones - SE was on PT, then AK time, then Aleutian time. Was a pain in the butt.
I was usually up early anyway, so it was cool to sit in front of the tv at 8am with my morning coffee and a bagel to watch. Of course, this didn't happen too much back then, as Illinois was seldom on tv (This was well before the start of BTN).

I moved there in '92 and it was already the single time zone. Made sense for Alaskans, but Outsiders still struggle with the geographic size of Alaska. I left in 2013 for the Houston area, and finally came home to New England in 2017.

3 chances to solidify/improve BTT and Dance seeding. Starting tonight. Beating OSU is a win, but won't help much. We need 2 out of 3 of the others and we need to start with this one.

Man, that team was beyond special. Still remember, like it was yesterday, standing in my apt in Champaign watching that inbounds play on my small B&W TV.

I was in graduate school. I had a heavy stone coffee table I had scooped up off the street.
One friend was standing on the table the last three minutes of the game :)

I recall thinking that we'd been completely jobbed b/c Jay Edwards' foot was on the line when he sank that impossible baseline shot. And then, after Nick drained that turnaround J from the hashmark, thinking to myself that I'll never see justice delivered so swiftly again in my life. 34 years later I'm still waiting...

How about this for a hot take: is this our toughest remaining game of the year?

Teams with experienced guards and who force opponents to shoot a lot of 3’s have given us trouble. NW has the most experienced backcourt in the BIG and forces the second most 3’s behind Nebraska.

Edey is of course dominant but otherwise think our strengths (length, athleticism, 1v1 shotmaking) line up pretty favorably with Purdues weaknesses (inexperienced smaller guards with limited athleticism, lack of shot creation).

This will be a tough game, but I think both this and PU are winnable.

Is this correct? I've heard both. I know it's at home, but how can a top 25 team that is 2nd in the Big Ten be a quad 2 game?
Because the NET is sort of weird. The Big 12 is taking up a ton of space in the top 30 NET which pushes out teams like NW.

This happened to the B1G the last couple of years.
