I'm lucky I didn't have a stroke
You must have given your stroke to TJ to use in the second half…

Wow......been a long day for me as today was my dad's funeral
I was worn out before the game started, and then we fall behind by 18 at the half
Did I think about turning the game off ???
NEVER.....
I am smiling for the first time today....THANK YOU FIGHTING ILLINI for bringing a little joy back in pru's heart
And shame on everyone for dissing the Illini....
Carry on my Illini bros and sisters
Gotta think your pops might get a heavenly credit on this one, pru 🔶🔷

It sure wasn't my actual jumper.

We are certainly blessed with two guys that can go on epic heaters.
Would love to see em both clicking at once but not gonna be greedy.

Had to watch the game from my phone in the hospital (my son was born yesterday). It took a Herculean effort to not yell out in excitement during the floor's quiet hours. I will remember my silent fist pumps forever.

Truly amazing heart from the team in the second half. If the team can harness that energy and emotion the rest of the season, look out!

Even though Buie had a career night, the second half adjustments on him were great (Harris deserves a game ball for his defensive efforts). For those who did not turn the game off at the half, we got to witness something special (and maybe the final click to getting on a serious role going into March)

On to Columbus!

Let’s be honest….the first half TSJ had severe rust and looked a step or two slow. Somehow he totally turned it around in the second half. We needed a scorer not once but twice in the second half and he came up with 24. Great job by the freshman again. Jaden is on a bit of a roller coaster game to game but Sencire picked him up tonight and was the other spark that helped ignite the crowd. Never give up. Long live Jimmy V!

We'll just go ahead and assume his name is Sencire.....

Intensity in 2d half was key

In 1st half it seemed NU just got way too comfortable stroking open 3s.

In 2d half we half court pressed them hard, "MADE THEM UNCOMFORTABLE" and intensified the offensive pace.

All that said, That 2d half recipe as follows, is a great default strategy for winning (we should try it more)

1. On D... intensely inflicting discomfort on foe
2. On O....pushing ball with pace and crash O boards

Sorry for your loss, Pru. I'm glad that our Illini could bring you a little bit of joy on this day.

I don't know what the general consensus is on Chris Collins, but after watching his postgame press conference, he seems like a likeable guy. No excuses or attitude, gave Illinois a lot of credit, and had solid answers to all the questions. I find it hard to root against Northwestern (especially considering that I did some graduate work there).

I'm calling for the kitty kats to lose out from here. Two away games at tough venues and a PSU team on the bubble.

I said to my nephew, that stayed with us for a couple days while in town on business and watched the agme with me, "Illinois can lose to any team in the country and they can beat to any team in the country". Sure, you can say that of many teams, but not like this Illinois team.

An 18 point hole cut to 4, then a 14 point hole and they still claw back. Buie having a career night too. And we still pull it off. Amazing win.

I turned off the tv at the 14 point deficit. So I’m guessing I got some catching up to do? 😏

I think they win at home against PSU. A month ago I would have said no way they win at Rutgers but they have fallen off recently. Still will be a tough game for NW.
