Live by watching the other team miss open threes, die by watching the other team make open threes. Sometimes your luck just runs out.

Absolutely love what we did on defense, there was just nothing there for them once they cooled off from the perimeter a bit. Good win against a good team, though I can’t say they play a particularly engaging style.

Yea. He was not good today.
He's really struggling guarding some of the quicker, more physical guards in the league. It's becoming a trend. Offensively, he's not making the extra pass and has had some poor decision making. It's what you'd expect out of a freshman. He looks like he's hit a wall, which again, is normal.

We are the FIGHTING Illini!!!!!!!!!!
I had a conflict that did not allow me to arrive at the Assembly Hall until 1 minute before halftime. Thought I walked into a funeral. Down by 18 and all I heard from my friends was how bad we were and that I should just go home. Having not been there to be as upset as everyone else, I said "C'mon guys, it's not over yet, We just have to believe!" to their laughs and eye rolls. I then reminded them about how we all felt in the 2005 Arizona game as well as the Illinois vs Seton Hall game in 2000 when we were down by 18 at the half. (I was at that game and I think tonight's game was more intense, but that was 23 years ago so my memory might be off.) I heard Underwood postgame say he took it out on the locker-room garbage can in an effort to motivate the boys. I guess that worked! What I saw in 20 minutes of basketball tonight was absolutely awesome. The intensity and effort was as good as it gets. Sincere Harris was a complete joy to watch. Hawkins was intense on D, and what can anyone say about Shannon Jr?? He was the incarnation of "the Fighting Illini." If only he can bring that again in the big dance! I love this team when they play with the intensity and fight we saw tonight. We've had flashes throughout this season which keep us hoping. But for some reason Jekyll shows up like tonight's first half making us all think we will bow out in the first game of the tourney. Here's hoping this team peaks in the next three weeks and plays like our last 20 minutes. Do that and we can make it to the Final Four. I-L-L!

Well telling your HC you aren’t going back in after he tries to sub you back in….not a good thing. Probably a little more going on there
Any idea what’s going on? Is this something stemming from the Indiana game?

BU in the message to his team after the game made a point of saying that we need buy in from everyone. After a win like that, the comment seemed a little odd. Maybe we know why? Will be an interesting story to follow. Jayden is critical to our excess. He's not a PG by nature. He's in a tough situation with a lot of responsibility. I'm sure he's frustrated.

Never a good thing but I will continue to be a Jaden Epps fan and hope our coaching staff treats it as a teachable moment. It’s definitely a different time where there is a much finer line with players but if Jaden really wants to grow he will be well served to learn to fight through these moments.

It was fantastic to see the "Illinois" rule actually work in our favor tonight. Thank God that basketball went between Sencire's legs. That was the start of the whole endgame.

What a great atmosphere! Announcers couldn't even hear whistles at the end. Way to not give up, those of you that stayed after the first half!

I said at the beginning of the year that our success this year was going to depend on how well Brad used his versatile roster. There will be other games where we will need our length and size to get it done, but going small and quick with our lineup completely changed the game.

Best comeback win since beating #1 IU during Groce Era, but ultimately may prove to be the blueprint for our success moving forward. Our key in the 1st half of any NCAA tourney game will be to stay close first half, then let our natural 2nd half dominance take us to where we want to be.

This team has played in so many different types of games, and I couldn't be more thrilled about our versatility right now, especially with Rodgers and Melendez emerging and what I think Goode will be able to do by that time.

I am hopeful this is the year we make it to the 2nd weekend. More hopeful than I have been since after the Texas game, because I think the switch is flipped on the defensive end and the offense is looking so much better conceptually.

I think (and hope) Epps was just being hard on himself. He wasn’t jumping up and down on the bench, but he was still clapping. I think he just had an off game and was feeling bad. I hope he can bounce back after a tough stretch because he’s a really important part of the team.

Had to watch the game from my phone in the hospital (my son was born yesterday). It took a Herculean effort to not yell out in excitement during the floor's quiet hours. I will remember my silent fist pumps forever.

Truly amazing heart from the team in the second half. If the team can harness that energy and emotion the rest of the season, look out!

Even though Buie had a career night, the second half adjustments on him were great (Harris deserves a game ball for his defensive efforts). For those who did not turn the game off at the half, we got to witness something special (and maybe the final click to getting on a serious role going into March)

On to Columbus!
You naming him Terrance or Sincere?
