Epps was out with the team last night celebrating the win. That’s how I’m looking at it. Strangely, I find it a little reassuring that 0440 said Epps took himself out of the game. Sounds like he was frustrated. Certainly refusing to go back in isn’t a good thing, but hopefully Chester and BU can help him get past this and to get his head on straight. Right now I’ll chalk it up to freshman frustration and take a wait and see attitude. Will be interesting to see if he starts against OSU.

Yup. Has nothing to do with Jayden and his teammates.Epps was out with the team last night celebrating the win.
Yes, it has been recognized. We'll give you a pass this time. But, next time we will expect you to read 13 pages of a thread before asking a question. Not going to check 13 Pages of blogs, but did anyone mention Ty Rogers jumping out of bounds and batting the ball back to Shannon sealed the game. If it lands Northwestern gets the ball back for another shot. Absolutely a great heads up play by a freshman.
So he was mad at the coaches. Happens all the time with players during games. Fans make a bigger deal out of things than they really are. Epps needed to stop going under screens. Coaches let him know. He’ll get over it.Yup. Has nothing to do with Jayden and his teammates.
That, and ducking trash cans got their blood pumping and an adrenaline boost. The Illini played better in the second half because the players were lighter. They were missing part of their rear-end after half-time.

Fletch was talking to Epps at the end of the game and giving him a bit of a pep-talk. Guy is way more than a strength and conditioning coach. He's a great player who will bounce backYup. Has nothing to do with Jayden and his teammates.
ope Epps gets over his tantrum today and learns that if you dont play the way you are instructed then you will be seated.
He is so slightly built when flexes around some guys out there he reminds me of my 5 lb. Shishon puppy growling at my 80 lb. pitbull, but that young man can play some defense!!! No backing down in this dog. Excited to see our freshman mature and play together in years to come.
A lot more to it than the scouting report error. But yeah that’s part of it. And I do hope everything gets resolved. So he was mad at the coaches. Happens all the time with players during games. Condolences, that is hard to go through no matter their age. We are all here for you man.Wow......been a long day for me as today was my dad's funeral
I was worn out before the game started, and then we fall behind by 18 at the half
Did I think about turning the game off ???
NEVER.....
I am smiling for the first time today....THANK YOU FIGHTING ILLINI for bringing a little joy back in pru's heart
And shame on everyone for dissing the Illini....
Carry on my Illini bros and sisters
I always rewatch the wins (and some losses), but I think I will skip the first half on this one.I turned off the tv at the 14 point deficit. So I’m guessing I got some catching up to do?
I almost had a stroke yelling at the game lol. They were literally sticking their legs out to trip our players and if a call was made it was on us. I think the BIG recruits refs from individuals that failed miserably with their 12 step plan..Did a fair bit of yelling at the screen over those. Never had any effect. Maybe because I watch on delay?
Agreed. Being ticked at coaches is one thing. It seems to be that refusing to go back in is another....unless the reports of that are false. So he was mad at the coaches.
