reminded me of some of Deron Williams performances, don't think my heart can stand this much drama, can't even imagine the noise in the assembly hall

That’s how I’m looking at it. Strangely, I find it a little reassuring that 0440 said Epps took himself out of the game. Sounds like he was frustrated. Certainly refusing to go back in isn’t a good thing, but hopefully Chester and BU can help him get past this and to get his head on straight. Right now I’ll chalk it up to freshman frustration and take a wait and see attitude. Will be interesting to see if he starts against OSU.
Epps was out with the team last night celebrating the win.

I've mentioned before that I have a student whose family are Illini and he's a big fan...asked him about the game today...the teenager was in bed and didn't watch, but I stayed up for the whole thing...something about that seems off...he did enjoy the highlights though.

disappointed to see empty seats - hoped/figured it was a sell out

So glad TJ seems to be okay. His concussion probably cost us the Indiana game and may very well cost us a seed line but I think it’ll be a blessing in disguise. Gave RJ enough minutes to find some semblance of his mojo and I think we just saw what TJ is capable of when he has fresh legs.

Lots of different levers to pull with this team. Has the potential to be a very fun tournament.

Not going to check 13 Pages of blogs, but did anyone mention Ty Rogers jumping out of bounds and batting the ball back to Shannon sealed the game. If it lands Northwestern gets the ball back for another shot. Absolutely a great heads up play by a freshman.

Yes, it has been recognized. We'll give you a pass this time. But, next time we will expect you to read 13 pages of a thread before asking a question.

Love the energy in the crowd last night, favorite part of the highlights is the fans going nuts after Coleman's block.

The Illini played better in the second half because the players were lighter. They were missing part of their rear-end after half-time.
That, and ducking trash cans got their blood pumping and an adrenaline boost.

ope Epps gets over his tantrum today and learns that if you dont play the way you are instructed then you will be seated.

Underwood does not have much patiencee witth players who do not follow the game play, In this post-gamee presser he said Dain was told in prracticee not to try to go baseline into the double and when he turned thee ball over thrre times he was preetty much done for the night.

So he was mad at the coaches. Happens all the time with players during games. Fans make a bigger deal out of things than they really are. Epps needed to stop going under screens. Coaches let him know. He’ll get over it.
A lot more to it than the scouting report error. But yeah that’s part of it. And I do hope everything gets resolved.

Wow......been a long day for me as today was my dad's funeral
I was worn out before the game started, and then we fall behind by 18 at the half
Did I think about turning the game off ???
NEVER.....
I am smiling for the first time today....THANK YOU FIGHTING ILLINI for bringing a little joy back in pru's heart
And shame on everyone for dissing the Illini....
Carry on my Illini bros and sisters
Condolences, that is hard to go through no matter their age. We are all here for you man.

A little of track, but during one segment of BIG10 wrap-up with Katz and Meacham there was a comment to the effect of, "Skyy Clark is not with the team, but still part of the organization". What does that mean?

Did a fair bit of yelling at the screen over those. Never had any effect. Maybe because I watch on delay?
I almost had a stroke yelling at the game lol. They were literally sticking their legs out to trip our players and if a call was made it was on us. I think the BIG recruits refs from individuals that failed miserably with their 12 step plan..

Yeah I mean, I’m personally worried about JE. Entering year 7 of BU era next fall, there will have been a grand total of ONE guard he’s signed that has made it to year three with the program. All the while, we are getting killed by experienced backcourts.

Agreed. Being ticked at coaches is one thing. It seems to be that refusing to go back in is another....unless the reports of that are false.
