We were definitely the bad Illini team that came out to play today. Just do not understand this team at all.

It is difficult to find a silver lining in this one.

Nobody in the B1G is more talented than we are. Yet here we sit in 7th place.
I think that the narrative that nobody in the B1G is as talented as we are expired about three weeks ago. Yes, there are more talented teams. When TSJ or MM go off, we're very good. When they don't, we're not. I think that's a fair statement.

What is with this team???

This is on Brad. We've seen it SO many times this season, he cannot get this team ready to play. We're lost, heading into March. Not a good look. This was supposed to be the team that makes it out of the first weekend of the Big Dance, but based on how we look right now, we'd be lucky to win one game. Shame. Waste of talent.

1/11 threes this half. We are really taking 30 threes a game. I am curious. What is our record with over 30 3s attempted vs under 30 threes taken.

Can anyone look that up?

Underwood plays a part here, absolutely. But I'm not willing to lay it all on him. Players need to want to play.

Epps is non-existent on offense lately. Why do we still play him? We have depth, and have other people that produce.

I understand your frustration, but this wasn't a tactical loss there day. That, you pin on coach. This was back to the reliance on threes, freshman mistakes with very little senior leadership to pull things together. If BU could put on a uniform and give it a go, I'm sure he would. Our frustration leads to wanting to pick one guy and is never just that.

This may have been mentioned but did Dain violate team rule or something. He could’ve had his way with this OSU team. Lost opportunity there in a game we had to have for our resume.

He recruited every one of these players. Is he not capable of recruiting good talent? IDK, but it's worth questioning.
Yes, worth questioning. That's why I said he plays a part. But at what point do the five guys on the floor take responsibility?

This was always a team that had a high ceiling and low floor given how many new pieces it has. And despite the wild, painful-at-times season, we controlled our own destiny in the conference as late as the end of February. That's not the failure you make it out to be.

It's only so frustrating because we all see how high the ceiling could be and we just haven't put it all together.
