If this Illinois team, at this point in the season, cannot come to play from the tipoff, then this team does not deserve to advance. They have gone toe-to-toe with Iowa, Purdue, Indiana, ...... They absolutely must come to play - no matter whom they play. Time and again falling behind by 20 points is not a good recipe in March.

Big guards and physically strong guards have killed us. I hope Epps is back but I doubt it, However this could be a good place for Ty to start and match up on D with Pickett anyway. Pickett is a match up nightmare for us and TY is likely our best option if he can guard without fouling. I think we can beat them and Indians but not pthe teams I’d preferred to have drawn. I wish we had started off better today.

Playing Penn State isn't ideal but you're absolutely nuts if you would have rather gotten Indiana in the 8/9 game and then Purdue if we won. I'm a little more optimistic because the small lineups have worked well in recent games. It's also going to be a home game because Penn State won't travel for this.

This is a terrible draw. We don’t match up with penn state. Maybe losing in the first riund will push us to a 10 or 11 seed. That i could live with. Better than the 8/9 line.
