Scheyer has anything a coach could ever ask for in program resources, including his pick of top 50 kids. IL is 4 years off of a 20 L season and a 7 year tourney draught.
Duke should be WAY better, whereas IL has a similar profile with our C playing PG & everyone forgetting how to shoot from 3. As an IL fan I'm excited to see what our luck looks like with more years of Brad's guys being in place.
Bring his Dad on as an assistant/bench coach so we can actually have a plan of some sort early in games. Yes, I know he'd be taking a demotion. Maybe Papa Devries would take one for the team to get his kid to the big show?
Put a scorer like him with some of the tenacious defenders that should be coming back for 23-24? SWEET!!
