Harris needs to develop a jumper. I don’t expect it to happen overnight but in 2 years I think he will be a well rounded player

Next year if he gains more strength he will be a defender we needed this year.
Asking because I can’t remember, how many times was Harris straight up outmuscled this year?

He’s a 6’3 version of those guys Arkansas had. Not a lot of guys who move like him in the big ten, but an athlete type we need to compete in the dance.

C Fraz is my guy …

I’ll just keep it 💯 … There’s some disconnect with this staff right now … There’s gonna be some changes …

Chester and TA from everything I’ve been told are locked in … Other positions (yes multiple) I have not heard one way or the other … Just that there’s gonna be some adjustments …
Thanks for sharing what you can. Both you and 0440.

If Chet and Tim are back but multiple other coaches are leaving, does that mean Illinois will have a new strength and conditioning guy?

Dr, Chandra,,,,,,,,I have a question ..........................

hal02.jpg

Good evening Hal , how can I help you ??

hal01.jpg

Dr. Chandra , you know I love the Fighting Illini with all my hard drive and upper memory components........

hal02.jpg

yes Hal , I do .......I really really do........what's your question ??

hal01.jpg

I find it disturbing and confusing to hear all the Negative Nancy's at my favorite Loyalty board comparing the Illini to a Black Hole .......Why do they do that ??

hal02.jpg

Well Hal , by definition a Black Hole is an Event Horizon with such a Gravity pull that no light can escape.....Right ??

hal01.jpg

Ahhhhhh , now I see......When the Negative Nancy's say that it's a Black Hole it really is a self description of themselves........

hal02.jpg

Yes Hal , that is correct ..........The human mind , using only 10 % our brain is the high end ......Negative Nancy's are at the lowest of low end , lashing out at things they don't understand or even comprehend .....It's the stupidity razor......if I don't understand it , then it must be bad.........

hal01.jpg

Thank you Dr. Chandra.....I now understand............Dr. Chandra ?..........Will I dream aboot the 2022-23 Illini season ???

hal02.jpg

Hal , I sincerely hope you don't .....I really really mean that .....................

hal03.jpg

Well Chandra , what's up with the enlightened one ???

He's wondering why there are so many naysayers at the Loyalty board !!!!!!!

well Chandra , I've wondered that myself !!!!!

Exactly. Does this mysterious “culture” so many here seem to praise include making promises (actual or implied) to players? That’s team cancer 101, if so.
It's not rocket surgery. Explain to prospects how they fit into plans. Give them a realistic assessment of their chances of starting or playing rotation minutes. If they are good enough to project as a likely starter, tell them. Stress they'll have to meet expectations and earn it.

Seems like there's been of smoke on guys. I've keep seeing people suggest Dainja might leave? Quick explanation on why would be appreciated.

All the coaches were frustrated. At the players lol
It’s always the players fault with you, isn’t it? I’ve seen you attribute minor fault to the coaches but always in concert with a larger primary fault to players. Do you not acknowledge the role the staff had in structuring player relationships?

The coaches brought all these players in, and are the ones essentially forcing the players on the court together, in practice together, traveling together, and in some places living together. Player differences are a part of every team across the country, and every coach deals with it in one way or another. Do you not acknowledge that these escalating player issues are ultimately a coaching failure?

I don’t get it…. We are blaming the season not on the coach or the 2 main ACs? We are saying that Tyler, Zach, and Geoff need to go? Do we really think that’s going to make a difference?

That would be the most shocking replacement of all time.
I clearly don't know the coaching staff well then. I'm trying to think of any other position that really matters in the grand scheme of things. I guess you're not saying any consequential positions are swapping out. I'm overanalyzing.

But it could be...brain science. See what I did there?

Exactly. The “promise” should be something along the lines of “we’re looking for someone with your skill set to fit in like such and if you work your butt off and show that you can make a positive contribution you might play, etc., etc., …”

I suspect it's more a realization of how badly missed some of the qualities Stephen Gentry brought have been.

Both his arrival and his departure were very unmistakably felt.

You think that firing the coach that took us from one of the worst teams in the power conferences to a #1 seed in 4 years AND firing his two best AC will make a difference?

I mean it would, just not in a positive way.
