increased the AC pool of $$$
upgraded SFC and Ubben

What else is he supposed to do ?????........................

Pru - you are thinking just like Josh … He’s given Brad everything he’s asked for and more … And if Brad still isn’t happy and wants to go flirt with other jobs ? Josh is going to go flirt with other coaches 🤷🏻‍♂️

Didn't we just determine that @Indy Illini Fan is Josh Whitman?

but...but....but............Indy , BU said we were his dream job..................sounds like we are in another stepping stone situation.......

I want someone who wants to build a dynasty here at UI and won't go sniffing around for a different job.......I'm losing a lot of respect for BU if he is doing the sniffing.........
But if the pie is on the sill, it’s hard not to sniff

I can't get over the thought floated that BU might go to Arkansas.

If you're Arkansas, are you really looking at the coach who lost to you in the first round?

That's what keeps bouncing around my head.
It really seems like a bizarre match on both sides. Look, Arkansas is a great program/job, but it's absolutely in no way a tier above Illinois; their current success is a testament to Muss' incredible recruiting abilities, IMO. Additionally, I'd argue Arkansas' attractiveness as a job is LESS than its historic accomplishments, whereas I'd argue Illinois' attractiveness is MORE than our historical accomplishments. So, in that regard, it seems like a bizarre move for Brad to me.

On the other hand, as you said, what exactly is in this for Arkansas?! I think BU is an amazing coach, but we did just lose to them in a stinker, and (fairly or unfairly) it helped solidify the narrative that Underwood's teams do not show up in March. They're fresh off of an Elite Eight and heading to a Sweet Sixteen.

This is all just really weird, and I'd be insanely curious to know what exactly Underwood doesn't like about his plush situation at Illinois, if those rumors are even true. And what he thinks will be better at Arkansas, lol.

This is why I would have no issue moving on if not for the buy out. If I knew a staff member or my gal who I've bent over backwards to please on so many levels was actively looking for another situation inspite of all I've done then they can hit the bricks! 😆
I wouldn't wait for BU to leave us high n dry especially if Miller wants to Coach the Illini.

The buy out much like paying allomony may not allow that to happen! 😆

Are we talking about pushing him out for Miller at this point?

Here is my question - in the very real chance that BU is our coach next year, how could we move on?

It's now become clear that he's not thrilled to be here. It's clear that JW has grown frustrated with him. Does not seem like a stable situation that would be attractive for recruits and assistant coaches.

Some of the things that have been said/done that have now become public can't be taken back. I just can't see BU being a longterm solution here now. Which is shocking given how I felt 24 hours ago.
