Thank you.People with money are trying to tell Brad how to do his job. Brad is hard headed and doesn’t take very kindly to that sort of thing. In the shortest version possible.
I wouldn’t like that either.

I wouldn't either, but as mentioned by others ... Arkansas?? TEXAS?! I think Illinois' annoying boosters are child's play compared to other desirable spots, haha.Thank you.

Meddlesome boosters? Well he won't have to worry about that when he's coaching in the.... [checks notes].....SEC
BU is a known quantity - he resurrected Illinois, he has shown he can hire good assistants and can bring in good recruits. Yeah, he has defecated the bed so far in March, but maybe that's just bad luck?It really seems like a bizarre match on both sides. Look, Arkansas is a great program/job, but it's absolutely in no way a tier above Illinois; their current success is a testament to Muss' incredible recruiting abilities, IMO. Additionally, I'd argue Arkansas' attractiveness as a job is LESS than its historic accomplishments, whereas I'd argue Illinois' attractiveness is MORE than our historical accomplishments. So, in that regard, it seems like a bizarre move for Brad to me.
On the other hand, as you said, what exactly is in this for Arkansas?! I think BU is an amazing coach, but we did just lose to them in a stinker, and (fairly or unfairly) it helped solidify the narrative that Underwood's teams do not show up in March. They're fresh off of an Elite Eight and heading to a Sweet Sixteen.
This is all just really weird, and I'd be insanely curious to know what exactly Underwood doesn't like about his plush situation at Illinois, if those rumors are even true. And what he thinks will be better at Arkansas, lol.
It's fun to speculate, but at the end of the day, Underwood isn't going anywhere.I created an account today after years of lurking to post this:

30 years ago Austin was a weird little hippie town and the University of Texas was part of an all-football-all-the-time hothouse of a conference that didn't really have any vision beyond its own state border. Things have changed a ton down there from the period in which the legacy brands built their traditions. And we're now in an era in college sports where a Texas has the financial resources to not just compete with but swamp a Kansas or Kentucky.
Half the posters on this site try to tell him what to do.Seems like that would be a problem anywhere
Yeah, the takeaway is it seems like Brad will be exploring other pastures...at some point in the next couple yearsIt's fun to speculate, but at the end of the day, Underwood isn't going anywhere.
He can explore all he wants, but unless he's willing to move down a level, he won't be leaving anytime soon. Just my opinion. I guess I'm taking a stance here. LOL.Yeah, the takeaway is it seems like Brad will be exploring other pastures...at some point in the next couple years

I imagine the list of schools that are willing/able to buy out Underwood's contract are pretty small!Brad is exploring other pastures as we speak … Yes pastures as in plural …
I love Brad. But, if he’s trying to negotiate by using other jobs after the year we just had…..I’m fine with whatever Josh does.
I hear ya, but as of now, it seems Brad is simply one of many options for Texas. And Arkansas doesn't have an opening (yet, sure ;-). I think Texas Tech is a slight downgrade from Illinois, but I'm a homer. And I think they'd take Tang before Underwood.I don’t think Arkansas, Texas or Texas Tech is down a level … They’re pretty lateral moves if we take off the orange tinted glasses …
Texas is up a level IMO …

Am I correct insiders that Brad had similar problems at Oklahoma state with there Ad as well?I thought that was what was said at the time when we poached him but could be remembering it incorrectlyPeople with money are trying to tell Brad how to do his job. New contender for who you really are: IDKWTI’s father.Everything’s gonna be okay
