Maybe I'm naive or choosing to ignore the potential land mines ahead, but either scenario works in our favor whether he stays or goes.

If he stays, I'm confident JW eats Brad's lunch (If he hasn't already). Next year Brad will be under pressure perform and produce.

If he goes we still have one of the best AD's in the business. He got Brad when we were terrible, imagine who he could reel in with where we are now.

There's risk with either scenario, but I see it as a win if he stays and a potential win if he decides to leave.

Agree. And I’ve been a total Underwood supporter who has appreciated how much he’s done so to bring this Illini program back to where it belongs. I’m hoping if he ends up staying, that his behavior this season is an outlier, and he gets his act together…

I hate to break it to you, but his behavior this year isn't an outlier. It's been there all along, and he had two generational players give him just enough cover to get by.
