Ok, Podz is on track. Good, time to look at another of our ex players.

After watching Nowell, here is my hope for Curbelo.

I hope Pitiino gives Belo a look or a private talk before he tosses him overboard.

IF you take away the concussion from last year, add some self control and some maturity, Belo would/could be a taller version of Nowell.

Is he worth the risk?

Curbelo might be an All American IF you addressed those issues, so I guess so.

That being said, thats a giant IF.

I know Belo had some issues before the concussion, but things really went off the rails post concussion…..CTE??? I doubt that we will ever know. He seems to be battling demons.

What?! Curbelo's shortcomings are more than just his attitude. Maybe add in some defense and a jump shot too. He's nowhere near Nowell's level. Accept it for what it is. Curbelo plays a selfish brand of basketball. Pitino said he wants winners. Pitino is too established to take a risk on somebody with Curbelo's character. He can go prove himself on a mid major.

Rewriting song lyrics. Could you redo the Foggy Bottom Boys’ I’m a Man of Constant Sorrow into a Loyalty anthem?

Pitino cannot pull the scholarship, can he? He can only tell Andre he is unlikely to get on the court again.

⬆️ The only accuracy in the post above is Curbelo was (and so far is) a terrible 3-pt shooter. But that guy was pass-first, played excellent defense for us, and was a superb rebounder from the PG position. Unselfish.

If you want to make a case that he’s displayed selfishness and/or character issues off the court, fine if it makes you feel better. People who are determined to :poop: on current and former players should at least make the slightest effort to be factual about it…

No, that's your opinion. He was extremely careless and selfish and once Ayo left and he was handed the keys it was exposed. People should stop talking him up and let him prove he can change. He acted like a goof on and off the court and constantly undermined his coaches' authority. Here is his draft profile if you really think he's that special.

They are year by year as far as I know. So yes, he can. Pitino mentioned 2 guys in his press conference that he would like back. Curbelo wasn't one of them. I would be surprised if Andre is back considering all the available transfers this day in age. Pitino isn't desperate.

Curbelo has his faults but defense isn't one of them. His defensive win shares and defensive box plus minus have consistently outpaced his offensive production throughout his career.

Where will Andre Curbelo end up next?

I think he goes to Louisville and shares the backcourt with Skyy Clark. It could happen. Lol
