If it ends up being RJ, this is the one transfer I can't put any blame on Underwood. For how bad and for how long RJ played miserably, Underwood did nothing but publicly back the kid. And he continued to show that belief in his playing time as well. If RJ leaves after Underwood bent over backwards to help the kid, it would be mind-blowing to me.

I would HAVE to think that those would be unambiguously "negative," whereas the Tweet in question made it sound a lot more like a player who had his fair share of ups and downs. I'd be shocked if it was not RJ.
I should probably wait until something comes out officially, but if RJ does leave I would be more upset by that than any transfer out over the past two years. Not in terms of being the type of player that can't be replaced, but in the way that makes me lose more faith in the direction college sports are heading.
You're a starter on top tier Big Ten team with coach that has your back. What more do you want RJ?
There are not many coaches that would have continued to give RJ so many minutes, let alone put him back in the starting lineup after being so ineffective offensively in the middle of the season. And Brad always tried to lift him up during media interviews even at his lowest point and pointed out how proud he was in the final post game presser against Arkansas.
I get why Podz left, I get why Skyy left (even though his public reasoning was BS), I even get why Epps left. RJ would be baffling to me.
Was there more turmoil between him and the staff behind the scenes we didn't hear about outside of the one game suspension?
