It's pretty much impossible for me to get invested in any players anymore b/c of the portal. I just root for them while they're here and assume they'll transfer after the season.
This ESPN "Way-Too-Early Top 25" article has some suspect picks. They put FAU at 5th in the country....like I get they made a Final Four and they are probably returning most of their guys, but 5TH???
Wow ESPN sucks.

Idk, maybe a few spots above #17.Kind of a weird complaint.
Where else should they rank the #17 team in KenPom who went 35-4 and went to the Final Four and is bringing the entire team back at a moment in college basketball where no one does that and everyone gets forced to start from scratch?
They also, incidentally, join the AAC next year. Big step into the spotlight.
I don't think them being one of the best teams in the country next year is a crazy notion at all.Idk, maybe a few spots above #17.
We aren't even in that big man's top 8I think everyone will be really happy with how the roster is going to shape up. I am very confident in us landing someone who's not in the portal yet as well.
From what I have gathered-at least 3 transfers
Staff expects Coleman back
Shannon up in the air-if he gets an early second guarantee he's gone-will be interesting
We will land an ELITE point guard. Going to like who it is (Think it could be 3 different guys-one of which is not in the portal-maybe 2)
Looking for another guard to pair with the point. Will likely be someone who can shoot really well
Staff wants another big-a couple names to watch:
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4431710/kadin-shedrick (This one will probably not happen due to Coleman likely coming back)Micah Handlogten - Florida Gators Center - ESPN
View the profile of Florida Gators Center Micah Handlogten on ESPN. Get the latest news, live stats and game highlights.www.espn.com
Another wing will be added as well, even if Shannon comes back. Again, emphasis on shooting/scoring with solid defense
Think we may get our first commit next week. By the end of the month will we likely have 2-3 guys already committed and then we will see on the nba guys
Haha, BIG time... i think he at least looked at offensive rebound rate ?? I'd done a brief search for these more advanced analytics a month ago to no avail. Obviously the team tracks them but I'm wondering if they are published online somewhere. As a fan, I need profound knowledge on how poor the shot selection was. The 0.92 ppa, which is miserable, may actually be flattering as you go deeper.Yeah, and also, you draw a lot more fouls attempting twos near the basket than chucking up threes, and fouls shots aren't included in those stats, either. Threes are great but those numbers don't tell the whole story. I feel like MM saw stats like those and just ran with them, lol.
Hate to kill your buzz but Campbell is 5'11" and Cryer is 6'1". Can we please get a point guard with some size that can also play some defense?Dream Lineup
LJ Cryer/Tyger Campbell
Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn
Niccolo Moretti
TJ Shannon
Ty Rodgers
Sencire Harris
Dalton Knecht
Luke Goode
Coleman Hawkins
Amani Hansberry
Fardaws Aimaq

You wouldn't take either?Hate to kill your buzz but Campbell is 5'11" and Cryer is 6'1". Can we please get a point guard with some size that can also play some defense?
Yep, find me a tall PG. Someone like Markquis Nowell.Hate to kill your buzz but Campbell is 5'11" and Cryer is 6'1". Can we please get a point guard with some size that can also play some defense?
Dear lord man. Either of these guys would turn around our offensive issues significantlyHate to kill your buzz but Campbell is 5'11" and Cryer is 6'1". Can we please get a point guard with some size that can also play some defense?

I wonder how much NIL there dishing outThey also only lost 4 games all season including the FF. Seems like they were probably under ranked and under seeded.

They were an unlikely buzzer beater away from playing for a National Championship. They return all starters from a team that lost, what, four games? Yes, they deserve that recognition. This ESPN "Way-Too-Early Top 25" article has some suspect picks. You watched the games, right? Great guards, quality big men, play together, extremely tough-minded, excellent coaching.... What are they missing?Idk, maybe a few spots above #17.
Yea, Dee Brown sucked, too.Hate to kill your buzz but Campbell is 5'11" and Cryer is 6'1". Can we please get a point guard with some size that can also play some defense?
And like, the bloom could come off the rose next year amid bigger pressure and attention and they could wind up making a top 5 prediction look foolish. You watched the games, right? Great guards, quality big men, play together, extremely tough-minded, excellent coaching.... What are they missing?
Color me cynical but I suspect FAU is far more likely to fall victim to this new rule than to be the exception to it. It was hard enough to keep teams like this one together *before* over-the-table bags were available.went to the Final Four and is bringing the entire team back at a moment in college basketball where no one does that
