For the most part, I agree with you. But as much as I like Rodgers and respect his effort on defense and rebounding, he's still a guy who's not a threat to score. That means you don't have to guard him. His defender just sags back and clogs up the passing lanes. Guys like Goode stretch the defense; you can't leave him alone at the arc. I don't think I saw Rodgers take a jump shot all season. He needs to add the mid-range jumper to his game, and he needs to learn to break his man down off the bounce to get that shot. I think he can do that, but until he does, you don't need to guard him. I'm still glad we have him though; so much potential.
