Tyger could happen, but it's a long shot. TA will try to test that out I'm sure. There are two guys they will focus assuming RayJ goes elsewhere. Shannon and Hakwins knows who both of those names are
So Collins and who else?? The KY kid or Love??

I photographed Yuri at SLU many many times since his freshman year. If you can get Yuri, you want Yuri. A lot of those turnovers happened bc he tried to do everything.
I agree- he’s be a great fit- the ultimate facilitator- you don’t avg 10 assists a game in college without being special with the ball in your hands- he’s a really good defender as well

That would mean recruiting more HS and not transfers. Those are guys that needed to be here and develop. Not come in after multiple seasons.
I will say that although the freshmen class last year had four guards with potential and some obvious talent, none of them remotely resembled a modern PnR lead guard.

My friends who are hard core SLU fans say that Yuri had weak pro evals and he is now shopping himself to highest bidders.

They describe him as great passer, not a good shooter, and dribbles too much.
SLU wants Caleb Love if that tells you anything.

Yuri did the same thing last year … Tennessee had a deal in place and SLU matched …

He does plan on graduating … Last I knew he had a few credits left to get … I’m not sure with all this NBA stuff how he would’ve had the time but what do I know … 🤷🏻‍♂️
Online classes and Quizlet, no need to have any knowledge or understanding to pass classes these days

a few things I think worth calling out on here that shouldn't get lost in all this:
1. Even if a recruit verbally says they're committing, etc. it is never a lock until it is a done deal. This was never a done deal and it dragged out longer than expected. Our insiders literally said lock and boom acting as if it was a done deal which was premature
2. Just because we are going to go after Yuri does not guarantee he is coming. Having money to spend doesn't guarantee that either. Almost assuredly there will be other big time programs going after him as well if he's open
3. Even if we land a solid backup PG option like a Yuri, it is not thought to be "a better fit" or a "preferred fit" to Dennis. There is a reason we didn't pursue others and left the spot purely open for him. He is better on any analytics metric as both a playmaker and shooter. Yuri might be fine, but do not buy in to the "new narrative"
recruiting is fluid

Love our insiders but a bit frustrating that they refuse to criticize Brad + Staff. Missing on RayJ would be a massive miss and a bit of an embarrassment, let’s call it how it is
Why? This is a whole different era when it comes to recruiting. If a guy is going to string you along and then ultimately choose something that makes zero sense, well then you were beaten by someone else’s stupidity. That is something every person deals with in every walk of life. You move on.

The problem though is it's not like we have a solid backup PG or second option. We can say there is another backup grad transfer, which is great, but he hasn't committed yet.
Why would he commit to a job that is not officially open?
