No I was just laughing at applying inanimate to a college girl. However it's a reference for obsession with an inanimate object or a specific body part, not just "something".
An obsession with younger (college) girls is not a fetish.

Probably shouldn’t drag this out but I have a hard time letting things go. Fetishization can absolutely be based on just an aspect of your identity, rather than just a part of your body. For example, the fetishization of black women. You could argue someone’s age isn’t a strong enough qualifier for an spect of their identity, but then you’re applying a heavy amount of subjectivity to a definition you’re claiming to be rather objective.
