Just out of curiosity, do any of the insiders know if TSJ or Hawk have a preference of which point guard the staff brings in? It has been well stated if Ray J goes elsewhere that there are backup plans in place that both have approved. Maybe this explains the heavy push for Ray J.

I hear what you're saying for sure, but the much simpler explanation is that Dennis is really good and there's no guarantee they would be able to get someone nearly as good if he goes elsewhere. They have backup plans in mind (those have been discussed on here), but you'd be much happier locking something down now and not needing to roll the dice at all.
