So who starts at PG? Rodgers? I refuse to believe that we're going to get a grad transfer until I see it.
Definitely seems like Rodgers would have a good shot and PG minutes

I get the frustration, bad miss by the staff....Gonna have to disagree with some of the stuff that's being said on here. The staff pulled out every stop and RayJ led them on.
They fill find a good point guard, I promise y'all

Yeah I agree with this….no excuses….if he can’t get atleast one of the 5 PG’s that wanted to come here…than there is a problem.
It's worse than that to me. It sounds like Underwood COULD'VE HAD a number of solid PGs commit to us but chose hubris over pulling the trigger. And now this roster is dangerously ill-constructed unless he can somehow find a late get that fits the team.

Lmao. Paign...What else was to be expected. This roster, with a pg, is set up very nicely. Without a pg, ceiling is limited and similar results as last year which is frustrating af. Bargain shopping it is smh.

I’ve seen teenage girls bigger than him … One drive against Edey and that kid would snap in half …

Dude is 6 foot and 150 soaking wet … He’s not Big Ten ready … Or really Big Ten material if you ask me …
What was the reasoning for giving this player a scholarship? Development piece? If he isn't a viable B1G player, why is he here?

I agree with this take. Ultimately you can’t control a kid who is looking for money. The charade is over so now let’s get back to work.

Maybe I'm wrong, no insider stuff here, but i think maybe we put too many eggs in the RayJ basket and
should have pressured him to commit three weeks ago and if not, go to the top back up plan. now were
down the back up list even further. . i wonder if the "circus" around him i read about was obvious enough
to see this coming?

Awful look for our staff. If they recover and win next year it won’t matter.

But right now it’s frustrating the way this all went down.
How so? In the end RayJ chose one of two strong schools. Brad and the staff did all they could. Tip your hat and move on. No question Baylor has been better lately.

If we had lost to Utah the feeling would be much different.

Your takes/info have been on point, but it is hard to see with what is currently out there in the portal.. hoping for a pleasant surprise when some names are released!

People were excited about Shannon and Coleman coming back, but they're not additions, they're just not losses.

When you look at the team changes we've lost Skyy, Epps, Mayer, and Melendez. We've replaced them with Domask, Harmon, and Guerrier. Are any of the new guys upgrades? The thought was, we struggled last year because of PG and that would be fixed. We'd be a better team because we bring in a better PG.

Well first we were getting Tyger Campbell, then it was RayJ Dennis, then Yuri Collins, and now we know it will be none of them. All of the top guys have chosen schools, so we're forced to either take what's left, or try to drag out a grad transfer. The most likely chance is we'll get a mediocre guy people will try to tell us is actually really good. But if we didn't upgrade the talent level, and we didn't bring in a strong PG, why would I expect next season to be better than this past season?

I guess we can all pray that Kylan Boswell thinks up some reason he should be able to play immediately because he is moving back to Champaign. How are grandma and grandpas health?

With Purdue bringing everyone back and Michigan State getting a pretty big boost of talent, I don't see this squad competing for a Big Ten title. We need an impact PG.

The rest of our roster is better, but our PG situation, as is, is considerably worse. Not that I expect it to remain as is, but we really need to land a PG
How is our situation worse. We didn’t have any pg’s last yr either. We’re looking at a similar situation maybe better since Moretti has a yr in the system. Epps wasn’t a pg he sucked at distributing and Clark didn’t do much and left us. We will be fine especially if we can add someone that can distribute.

Knowing this information about Brad (passing up on some players for the Toledo guy and the drama at the end of the this past season), I am inclined to think this will be his last year here, unless a miracle run in the NCAA happens.
Winning cures all. A B10 title, conference title, a S16 or E8 appearance will make everyone forget about missing RayJ

im just curious, but who were the guys that were interested in coming here that we passed on?
How many others did they genuinely pursue and make them feel as if they were integral to the success of the team? How many others did they show how much they could help develop their game (ala BB and the football crew)?
