I get the frustration, bad miss by the staff....Gonna have to disagree with some of the stuff that's being said on here. The staff pulled out every stop and RayJ led them on.

Just at a complete and utter loss how Brad allowed this to happen after the shitshow at the PG position last year. Quite concerning to say the least!
Bad news for you all: these “plan Bs” (realistically plan Fs) will be nowhere near the level of RayJ or any of the previous interested parties. Debacle. Someone will be added but I’d almost rather them say F-it and have Ty start the year handling the ball and leave the last scholly open. But after last year with Skyy/Jayden that won’t happen.

The only good news for me is that I ignored this thread until the news hit.
I'm not that miffed at the way BU went about this. The whole thing is a challenge. I want to compete for championships, not be middle of the pack. So going all in on Dennis kinda fits that.
I will say this makes me realize just how incredible Self was. We keep talking about how difficult it is to get guys to come when there are others "in the way." He had Luther, then he had Dee, then he convinced Deron to come anyway, and then somehow convinced McBride to sign up too.
The great recruiters get guys despite some of the factors being against them. We're just not there yet. I actually think it could happen with BU, so I'm willing to be patient.

Who is our PG now? Moretti will not be better than Epps last year, look at what the insiders are saying, let's not kid ourselves. Good guard play (specifically the PG) wins close, tough games. The rest of the roster is better, sure, but we don't have a PG right now.
I can agree with you that if we add a PG that can distribute we will be looking real good.

We should have moved on quicker. the 4 weeks lost is not acceptable. it injured our program. RayJ/BU cost us wins next year.

You're burying Brad, but as of last night, there were more gifs going out. One insider said that it wasn't about money. He was plan A, which people thought, this morning, was going to land. Now, you're saying that he should have taken a other PG earlier and thru should have moved on from RayJ a month ago?
What would you have done to not make this a failure? How would you have succeeded? The story seems to be going to ways here on their takes, when again, 12 hours ago....all was good.

Ok that actually makes me feel better if those are the misses.
One thing about BU is that his staff has a Plan A-Z. We will find another option, a possibly a better alternative for this team. Someone who can fill the role of assist, 3pt shooting, and defense. We will have 3 main scoring options next year, with Guerrier, Goode, Ty being secondary type scoring options. We need a John Paxton type player.
My rapid response while everyone is letting it out, is that it’ll all be ok, and maybe even be an amazing amazing amazing year.
Huge miss by Brad and he deserves all the heat he gets from it.
But, if we get a solid (and hungry with a huge chip on his shoulder cus he’s “Not RayJ”) pg, this team can be elite.
These guys all wanna be here, Brad’s seat threatening to get more fiery then him will get him goin’, and there’s so much heart and talent on this squad.
I’m still riding the high from last night’s announcements, and I’m pretty pumped to see what this team can do in 23-24. It’s only June 1st.
