Sincere has a mix of speed and height that sets him apart. I don't want to start the "he reminds me of Larry Bird" jokes. But there is a player comparison he reminds me a bit of, and it is not Luther or Kendall. There are players that what ever bball skills they develop will never make it to the league because of the measurable/athleticism. Sincere has it, he just needs his bball skills to catch up.

Real quick - without resorting to Google - where did the Illini finish in the tourney in the following years (dates chosen arbitrarily btw)?
- 1962
- 1972
- 1982
- 1992
- 2002
- 2012
no one (OK, not "no one", because this is the largest collection of Illini fans on the innernet) remembers unless it's either the 2005 team or the Flyin' Illini. But banners are forever, and conference and tourney championships matter. In over 100 years of Illinois men's basketball, we've won the conference 18 times (8 ties). In 24 years of the conference tourney, Illinois won three times. These titles matter. Sweet 16, Elite 8, even Final Four don't matter. Championships matter, and that includes the National Championship.
I'll get off my soapbox now . . .
I'm not sure how this demonstrates that FF, S16 or E8 don't matter. As I look at these dates, I'd guess we did not make the NCAA tournament any of these years. 1962/1972 are too old for me to remember. 1972 is right before Henson, and we stunk then.
Btw. Our FF's are all late 40s, early 50s, and then 89, 01, and 05. I can't name the S16 years off the top of my head. Other than 05, and the two recent ones under BU, I'm also not sure I can I can name any of the conference championship years. So yes, I remember FF years more clearly.
