Is there a possibility the staff just isn’t placing a huge priority on the running back position for 2024 because they already have Kaden Feagin and Jordan Anderson and they are happy with who they have right now.

What evidence supports they aren't putting a huge priority on running back? They brought in a RB during both of their big recruiting weekends. They've supposedly made up a lot of ground in the Dupree recruitment. Both Valentine and Dupree make a lot of sense as more agile, quicker backs to complement backs like Feagin and Anderson. Both of these recruits have kept things quiet on social media and/or talking to reporters, but we shouldn't confuse their preference to assume the staff isn't working hard to win their commitment.

I'd feel a lot better about him if he has 25 lbs heavier. Consensus is that he knows all the calls and can handle the mental aspect, but can't handle an interior DL without 2 big guards next to him and doesn't have the athleticism to make up for it. Maybe I'll be wrong 🤷‍♂️
He handled Illinois' 2nd team DT with ease. Not sure how we would do vs. the best of the best but many C do struggle against the best.

"I thought very highly of Coach Fleck after meeting him. The media always paints a negative picture of him, and to a certain extent, he still is a little different than most head coaches. But he absolutely knows his football and he wasn't like what I expected from watching Big Ten Network or ESPN."

wait until he gets tired of explaining that to all the folks in Olathe and changes his mind come November

Fleck uses that "confirm right now or we pull the offer in 3 hours" schtick ala car salesmen.
It works with some people. Explains why Pontiac could still sell that Aztec
He did this at Western Michigan to my brothers friend Matt Henningsen who eventually walked on at wisconsin, earned a scholarship, and was drafted by the Broncos.

of course we want to sign as many highly rated guys as we can, but that doesnt mean they are automatically better than any 3* guys we sign at that position

you want to maximize your odds that the guys you sign, can and will, contribute soon - that is generally accomplished by recruiting and signing highly ranked guys. but its no guarantee . Wiscy, Boise St and BYU have gotten pretty good results over the years by recruiting 3* guys that fit their system. Likely what we need to do for a few years while we rebuiild the brand.

I dont get too down nor caught up in not getting player X because hes an 88 and having to "settle" for player Y who's an 86. Its very subjective grading of their soph and jr years playing prep ball or at camp
